We live on 5 acres just 12 miles south of Oklahoma City. We have wifi and 15A 120V outlet available about 20 feet from parking location. Suggested Local Attractions: Oklahoma University, Oklahoma City Downtown, University of Central Oklahoma, Martin Park Nature Center, Science Museum of Oklahoma Laundromats: DO NOT GO TO THE CLOSEST ONE ON GOOGLE MAPS! lol... it's called Coin Laundry and it's pretty bunk... but there's a great Donut Shop owned by this really nice couple and they even have a couple of Korean breakfast items on the menu. I recommend "Sooner Wash" at 1325 E Lindsey St, Norman, OK 73071 or "Hollywood Coin Laundry" at 1310 E Alameda St, Norman, OK 73071 and they are in order of quality. Grocery Stores: We have 4 Dollar Generals 4.5 miles in every direction from our house, they all now offer some fresh produce. Homeland is the closest to us and have a great selection but their prices tend to be a little higher. Crest is open 24/7 and has the best prices IMHO, and there is a WalMart Super Center within the same distance... 1. Homeland - 1251 E Alameda St, Norman, OK 73071, 2. Crest - 2550 Mt Williams Dr, Norman, OK 73069, 3. Walmart Super Center - 601 12th Ave NE, Norman, OK 73071... There is also Sprouts that is a more "boutique" experience that would be similar in prices and selection as Whole Foods... 4. Sprouts - 559 W Main St, Norman, OK 73069 Breweries: Legally Brewed - 123 W. Main St, Beer Is Good Brewing Company - 216 E. Main St., 405 Brewing Co - 1716 Topeka Ave., Equity Brewing Co - 109 E. Tonhawa, Lazy Circles Brewing Company - 422 E. Main St.

We stayed overnight on our way east, and the farmsteas was perfect! Joshua and his wife are so friendly and acommodoting and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Josh makes a great beer and we got some farm fresh eggs! If you are traveling along I-40, I highly recommend this spot near Oklahoma City.

Where do you begin when the “Host” deserves more than a 5 Star rating!! From the morning of and even after our 2 day stay Joshua’s communication was outstanding. We are so grateful to have had a layover in the middle of our 7 day journey. Joshua sent over directions to shop, eat and even a great laundromat which to our delight had massaging chairs we took advantage of. But the day that we arrive…I Sandra was in my height of glory when Joshua surprised me with a jam session that evening. He is a man of many talents that’s for sure!! He not only is the coordinator and founder of the “Norman Bluegrass Jam” & Leader of the “Franklin Road Bluegrass Collective” but he has over 40 instruments at his fingertips. Joshua plays a mean Banjo which I love but he is a great vocalist! With Dan on the mandolin, Richard and Doug on guitar we sang to many familiar tunes. We departed with 2 dozen fresh eggs and homemade Ale in the fridge for the Thursday night football game tonight for Louie:) It’s an English Special Pub Ale 5.8% ABV light in body. Louie will be in need of this ale…that’s for sure:) Joshua gave us a couple departing gifts…as we got to say hello and goodbye to “June Bug the Pugh” and beautiful Carrie. As for the gifts I will let him tell you more as you make your stay at the “Quiet, Rural Framstead”. P.S. Tell then Sandra and Louis Harmon from South Dakota highly recommend them as Harvest Host!!!!
