The camping area is a relatively flat, gravel road on an open lot that is adjacent to the highway. Park anywhere on the gravel. Pull through is possible (turn around is easy), but use extreme caution pulling back onto the highway from the East access point as visibility is limited. NOTE: The house across from the lot IS NOT OURS! There is a creek that runs just beyond the mowed area. The bank to the water is steep but water flow usually very slow. Please watch children and animals closely. Suggested Local Attractions: You are just 7 miles from Jesse James' hometown of Kearney, MO. You are 30 minutes North of downtown Kansas City. Kansas City has the only World War I memorial. Nearby Independence, MO is home to the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Holt Roadside. It was quiet, plenty of space, and grass for the pup dogs to take a stroll. Thank you for allowing us to stop and stay for a spell.

Great spot for a quick overnight! It is next to a fairly busy road with rumble strips that are periodically heard. With that said though the spot is easy to find, the turn does come up pretty quickly but Google directions were exactly correct. We were one of two campers there for the night and had plenty of space for even a couple more. T-mobile and Verizon were usable Internet options. We would definitely stay here again, thanks for an easy safe place to stay!!

Our stay was awesome! We had some truck issues The owners couldn't have been any more helpful. The site is well kept & quite level.

Heading home from watching the eclipse, this was the perfect place to pull in for a good night’s sleep. We felt extremely safe. The area was level and quiet. Larry even helped guide us in.

Very nice place to spend an evening. Easy access from interstate. Owners are very nice, have been extremely helpful with reccomendatios, we are having tow vehicle issues. Highly recommend.
