We enjoyed a quiet couple of days at this property, surrounded by farmland. Great communication by host.
This was our 2nd night staying here and we liked it so much, we’re staying 2 more nights. 95 minutes from Yellowstone and 35 minutes from Cody. Our host was wonderful and answered any questions we had, plus she gave the fastest response we ever had requesting a boondockerswelcome spot.
Since we’re staying another night, our review will follow after that, but we’ll definitely stay here again.
This was a great place to stay after leaving Cody. Nice, level quiet site. Host was great at communicating and was very welcoming and accommodating to our changing arrival times. FYI, there is a free, clean dump station in downtown Powell which is nearby.
Host was welcoming and extremely helpful. Pictures indicate an isolated place, but there is an occupied house on site. Recommend this location if in the area!
Had a wonderful time exploring Powell & talking to Adriaris. She was so welcoming & helpful with her directions. Nice level spot, sunset views & beautiful night skies! Be sure to visit the Geart Mtn interpretive center & of course Cody.
This was the perfect place for this weary traveler to stop for a couple days to rest. Powell is an adorable little town and the people were lovely. It is close to Cody, which is very busy during the summer so being able to visit and then leave the noise was great! The host was great even though not on site, but responded quickly through text. My GPS had some kind of "brain fart" and told me to turn left from Lane 5 when I needed to turn right. The host got me sorted and I found the place quickly. There was plenty of room to my travel trailer and the circular drive made exiting easy! The sunsets were amazing and the views go on "forever". I would definitely stay here again!!!
The host made it so easy for me to spend one night at Polecat Bench Base Camp! Go checkout Powell it's a neat little town. Also close to Cody, and entrance to Yellowstone!!
Excellent host, she made sure we had everything we needed. Enjoyed Mt biking in Big Horn canyon recreation area and Homesteader park.
Adriaris is a wonderful host! Great on communication and checking in with us. Good directions and big level site for a few campers. Nice and centrally located to explore. We stayed 3 nights. Explored Chief Joseph highway to the north entrance of Yellowstone and saw 7 wolf! A bucket list event for me. The next day we headed east through Big horn National forest and Little big horn.
Words can't explain the magnitude of gratefulness I have for our host! The communication was great before hand and the welcome was kind and informative. We were sad when it came time to have to leave! Our host left a positive impression on my son that will live with him for a lifetime! I hope our paths cross again one day!
Host went above and beyond on hospitality. Allowed space but also partook in great conversation. Thank you again!
Wonderful host and flat spot to park our travel trailer. Highly recommend!
Our host was accommodating and super nice! Not far from Cody or the Bighorns.
Wonderful host. Was met on arrival and told a good place to park. It was level. We had a great visit with the host. Was given good info about the area. Plenty of room to walk my dog and take a much needed break.
Super quiet area, level spot. Quick communications. Really enjoyed getting to chat and share stories!
What an excellent stay at Polecat Bench. Communication prior to our visit was great and helpful. We were welcomed warmly and even got a little tour of the property. We had a good time chatting with our host, who was most gracious. It’s a spacious, level spot with lots of space. The mountains surrounding the property are beautiful. What was most striking was the amount of stars you could see at night! An amazing display. Great place to kick back and enjoy nature.
This was one of the prettiest locations we've ever camped at. Views for miles. The hosts were extremely friendly. We would definitely stay again. The homesteader park in nearby Powell offers a dump station and the city park on Lovell has free showers. The Buffalo Bill museum in Cody is a must see.
