Grand Junction is the perfect hub for a multitude of activities. Your hosts are 'friendly natives' that can offer you directions and information.
No smoking on the property. Quiet hour at 11:00 PM. No generators. No vehicle washing with our water...only for your internal RV use. Tell us about special requests. We'll try to work with you.
Neighborhood streets, tight corners to our two block street with cul-d-sac on both ends. Difficult maneuvering for BIG rigs. Easy for our own 26' trailer and pick-up.
We can take up to a 28-29' trailer but due to the slope to the street, motorhomes longer than 25-26 feet will need lots of leveling gear for the street end.
Tow vehicle must park on the street.
We do our own travels and activities throughout the year but will try to accommodate you when we are able.
Near I-70. Colorado National Monument. Fruita, Colorado bicycling mecca. Colorado River Front trail. Palisade Winefest and Peach Festivals. Nearby wineries and winery tour route. Grand Mesa National Forest. Rabbit Valley archeology area, Fruita's Dinosaur Journey. Several golf courses, including but not limited to Redlands Mesa Golf Course. Many fine area restaurants, coffee houses, and pizza/fast food offerings . Colorado Mesa University. Western Colorado Center for the Arts, and beautiful Grand Junction Downtown Shopping Park and Art on the Corner.
These excellent hosts greeted me upon arrival and helped me park my rig next to their driveway. I had a very restful night, thanks!
Appreciate CarolandDan as considerate and welcoming hosts. Enjoyed our conversations and communication, getting backed in and setup was easy but be prepared as side farthest from house is lower and needs boards or other to raise to level and drop-off to street is steep and need considerable jack extension.
Their neighborhood is quiet and all the neighbors we encountered waved and smiled, however we do think there is a competition to see who can mow their lawn closest to sunrise! ;-)
Grand Junction was our only 2nd visit on our grand tour of Utah and Colorado, we loved their downtown and restaurants in addition to the many local activities.
Dan & Carol are a very friendly and welcoming couple. I had a perfect stay.
I had a really nice, easy stay here. The hosts were gracious and helpful, although not “too” helpful. As an independent person, I really appreciate that fine balance. The power and water were exceptionally convenient for hooking into. Nice neighborhood and I felt safe
And very welcomed. I highly recommend this host.
Dan and Carol are gracious hosts and provided water and a 30 amp hookup allowing us to run our AC. That was a real lifesaver as the night was extremely hot.
We enjoyed meeting the hosts and they were extremely helpful when we discovered a fault with out levelling system. Once we had got by that we were able to enjoy the area, visiting the Colorado Monument 20 mins away and some breweries. The hosts had kindly printed info on this for us, thank you ** Note for bigger rigs, we are 28' class A and took up almost all of the space available. The front of the driveway is quite a bit lower than the back so be prepared with blocks to raise the front **
We had a great stay at Graveled Spot. It was a welcome stay with 30amp hookup during a hot spell and after spending a month boondocking on BLM land in Utah! We enjoyed visiting with our wonderful hosts, and with their vast RV experience they gave us much needed advice for our future rig upgrade. Great stay and highly recommend!
Nice couple for sure. Great place to stay for a reasonable drive going to/from Denver.
This beautiful home on a neighborhood cul-de-sac was a wonderful respite. Caroldan welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips about the area. We enjoyed chatting with them on arrival. It was a great and comfortable stay. Another bonus, they are located not too far away from the Colorado National Monument which is an amazing destination of mountainous beauty. Thanks so much. We enjoyed and appreciated everything.
