PLEASE DON'T ASK IF WE CAN MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR YOUR PET. OUR RESCUE DOG ISN'T THRILLED ABOUT OTHER DOGS VISITING! THANK YOU!! We are located just south of Alpine, Wyoming. We are located 1 hour from downtown Jackson, WY. Another 10 minutes gets you to the entry of Grand Tetons National Park! Suggested Local Attractions: Alpine is a great town with a fantastic brewery - Melvin Brewing Company. They have a great beer menu, full bar, and an excellent chef! Alpine is a very small town but offers a ton of outdoor activities. Enjoy small town shops and restaurants as well as amazing fishing with three rivers (the Snake, Grays, and Salt) all coming together in Pallisades Reservoir. Head east and you'll be in Jackson Wyoming within 45 minutes! Idaho's magnificent Swan Valley is about 30 minutes to the northwest of Alpine. One visit and you'll know why we chose this area for our retirement haven.

House Rules

This is Wyoming! We came here to get away from a bunch of rules! With that said, we also came here to be neighborly, and we know you will be, too! So here's what we ask: We do not allow pets due to livestock and wildlife issues in the area. No smoking outside, please - What you do in the privacy of your RV is your business! We don't hate on smokers, we just don't want the trash. Generators must be National Park standard quiet and off by 10 pm. Be polite! No loud music, etc. Thank you for being good neighbors!!

Location

Access Road Conditions: Access is provided through a paved county road that becomes a gravel road. Our house is located just over 1 mile from the end of the pavement. The road is basically flat and can be navigated by any rig. You will need to back your trailer into the parking spot from the main road. It is possible to pull through into the flat field spot. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: This location is very rural. It provides a gently sloped area for an rv. Your tow vehicle can be parked next to your rig. We have a gravel parking area but there is also a grass area (field really) right next to it that is very level if you prefer.

We were looking for a weekend base camp as we explored the Grand Teton National Park. We found so much more! We were greeted with hospitality, great communication, easy parking, assistance setting up, family-friendly atmosphere, quiet setting, and beautiful Mountain View’s in all directions. Our hour long drive to the Tetons was an enjoyable scenic drive along the snake river, passing through the towns of Alpine and Jackson. Both towns are worth a stop and will add to an already memorable trip to the National Park.

Slightly off the beaten path but easily accessed and worth negotiating a Wyoming back road to a gorgeous backdrop. Safe. Very peaceful. Flat parking surface. Hookups made available by host to 15A and delicious clean water. But the best part is the hospitality of the hosts who are delightful.

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our hosts were wonderful and we felt like old friends almost immediately. Their setting is simply gorgeous with lots of room. Highly, highly recommended.

Just one night but it was great. The countryside is beautiful. Our hosts were waiting for us and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. We would love to visit them again.
