We are less than a mile from Lake Michigan shoreline. Close to Lake Macatawa, a network of bike paths & many parks nearby. We live on 1 acre at the end of a dead-end road in an older quiet subdivision neighborhood next to a 40-acre nature preserve. When the leaves are on the trees our neighbors almost disappear creating our little "hole-in-the-woods". Downtown Holland is about 7 miles away and Holland State Park pier is less than 3 miles away.
Note: Typically is about 5 - 10 degrees cooler here by Lake Michigan (or more...depending on the wind) so, plan accordingly 😊.
We live in a quiet neighborhood so, blend in. No loud music, partying, dogs barking, etc.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 11 am (night shifters need their sleep too).
Generator usage okay between 11 am - 10 pm.
Slides are okay but cannot interfere with other vehicles' ability to enter/exit the driveway.
It's okay to ask about water tank filling, Firewood & fire pit use.
No smoking on property.
We live at the end of a dead-end road. There are two 90 degree corners and no regular turnaround. The maximum rig height is about 12' because our driveway has tree branches that overhanging it...we live in a hole in the woods. Turning around on our cement driveway is possible with a short motorhome or travel trailer (up to 22' long) but you need to be good at backing & maneuvering.
parking next to rig or in another area on the property.
Availability varies greatly due to irregular schedules.
I have created a lengthy list of things to do in the area I frequently share with visitors.
Our hosts were welcoming and very helpful, providing maps and information about the area. We enjoyed exploring nearby parks and beaches. Wonderful stay!
Very friendly host. Quiet, level, easily accessed site. Was our first boon docker experience and was excellent.
We could not have been more pleased to stay with this family. They made us feel like their personal guests. We stayed on a flat driveway. They are surrounded by big trees. Would love to go back.
