A flat separate drive way by the barn and greenhouse. It's a little tight, especially backing in, so trailers and rigs over 20' are not recommended. You can have a water hook up, but we drink and make coffee with spring water (we will give you a gallon if needed) as my well water has a lot of iron and sulphur. Low energy usage or self-contained power is best, as I have only-15 amps out there. Wi-Fi is iffy...don't count on it unless you are willing to set yourself closer to the house. Boats are available for paddling Island Pond. Suggested Local Attractions:The Monadnock Region of Southwest New Hampshire is close to Massachussets and Vermont. Two hours to everywhere- Boston, the coast, the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Lots of local hiking, biking, boating, swimming, fishing. Guests can use my boats and our beautiful lake, Island Pond.

Age:

Retired and learning how to live one day at a time... Details: I live a rural lifestyle and I'm loving life in my 60's and learning to balance my time to get to the the things I hoped to get to in "retirement". Just passing through, and drinking it all in... Home Town: Stoddard, NH is a tiny lake town in The Monadnock Region of Southwest NH. We have the second highest village in NH, and so get roughly the same weather they have in the White Mountains though they are 100 miles north. I live in an old lake community on a lake, and have a shared right of way to where we keep our boats. There is fantastic boating, fishing, hiking, snow-shoeing and cross country skiing in and around town, and great biking through historic little towns on the old farm-to-market back roads of The Monadnock Region. The population triples here in the summer, as this is a place that people from away have spent their summers for generations. Great foliage in Autumn! Favorite Boondocking Locations: We make frequent and regular trips throughout New England and especially love the Maine coast and the Nawth Woods. I love sliing and my Epic Pass and take my solo truck camper on ski trips, so I always have a ski lodge. Planning to explore the Adirondacks this Spring, Summer and Fall, and will visit Lakes Ontario and Erie. Sometimes we just like to pick a direction and head out without a plan for a few days. We ALWAYS find someplace new and interesting... Skills or Expertise to Share: Construction, gardening, outdoor activities, travel, guitar, good listener, counselor and social worker in my last life I do a lot of community service volunteering doing construction projects and working with local teens.

We had a wonderful stay on Island Pond in this small cottage community. The owner was very reponsive ahead of, opon our arrival and during our stay and kindly offered his kayaks and canoe enabling my daughter and I to explore lake and islands. A very quiet and welcoming summer retreat.

This was a nice stop off and the host was very welcoming. I did find the parking to be a little tight even in my 15ft rig but we made it work. I didn't stay long but it was a pleasant time.

This host was very friendly and helpful. The spot for the RV is very small. 25 feet is the MAX size. It's a bit tricky backing uphill into the spot but the host guides you. Although we were given the password for the wifi the signal was not strong enough for me to get access to the internet. There's a lovely pond within walking distance and the host has a canoe you can use although we didn't have time to take advantage of it. It is very quiet & peaceful here.
