We’re perched on top of a hill overlooking Arbutus Lake in northern Michigan. We are on the edge of Brown Bridge Quiet Area, a large preserve with great hiking. We’re also a short drive to Traverse City - about 15 mins.
Guests will park in a grassy area near the edge of the woods with a peekaboo view of the lake. Access to the lake directly on our property may be available, but is down a long flight of stairs and will depend on our use of the dock.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated and well socialized. We have two dogs on the property. The yard is not fenced. Our dogs have an invisible fence, so they will be running “free”, but their range will not include your space.
Generator use is okay, but we ask to use it as minimally as you need. Please restrict generator use to 9am-8pm.
Please take your trash with you. We don’t have a dumpster. We generate minimal trash and use pre-paid “red bags” that are available at local grocery stores, if you purchase your own bag, we can take it down to the curb with ours on Monday.
Direct access to the lake is on a case by case basis, ask us when you arrive. It’s a small space, if we’re not using it during your stay, you’re welcome to enjoy the dock & lake.
No rigs bigger than 25ft due to long tree lined driveway and minimal turnaround space.
Flat tow vehicles will need to be disconnected before coming down the driveway. However, we do not have space for a tow dolly/trailer.
During the winter our driveway isn’t the most accessible. We’re a no snow location only.
We’re likely to be off exploring one of Michigan’s State Parks 1 weekend a month in our RV. Chances are we will be here enjoying the lake, so just request and we will let you know if it works!
