Location
Look for the 10’ wooden cross on our hill now! Dogs must be on leash. Access Road Conditions: County road is improved gravel. Driveway is ground asphalt, aside from that its native grass that is cut short and usually dry and hard ground. 7 Rd is not paved from north for last 7 miles or so. Do not come down that way if muddy! Fine north from hwy 50 to our driveway. (just a few feet) The turn in is generous in room. No issue for my 41’ with toad. no trees to worry about. Electrical hookups possible with longer cords 20/30/50a available but NOT guaranteed. If its dry there are no issues. If its wet which is rare, we will stay in driveway. Most rigs park west of flagpole facing South/Southwest in my circle drive in front of the house. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Lots of room. You will need extension cord if leaving toad hooked up and you want 30-50a. Do not block house garage, please.

This was our first BW and it was great. Directions were clear and easy. Parking was as simple as pulling in. Plenty of room to walk and stretch after travel. Its spring in Kansas so the weather can be wild. The host communicated throughout the day about expected weather conditions. When the storm did arrive he was very hospitable. We would like to stay again when we travel that route in the future.

The beauty of the prairie presents itself politely at this host level site along the Mountain Route of the Santa Fe Trail.

This is really wide open spaces. Easy to find, access and park. The host is very responsive and provides literature on the local points of interest. We had restful evenings and was able to tour a couple museums and eat some great BBQ. We will request this site again when passing through and highly recommend it to others.

Our first BW stay and we weren't disappointed! The driveway was more level than a lot of campgrounds we have stayed at. would stay there again if we are ever in the neighborhood.
