We're on a corner just west of Highway One. The ocean is nearby, though we have no view. You can hear the ocean. It's often cool and foggy. The neighborhood can be busy with visitors in nice weather.
Driveway leading to two-car garage.
Electric car charging is available.
We park our small teardrop on one side of the driveway. You can park on the other.
We prefer non-towed campers, like vans.
Also, we're near a small airport. On sunny days there is airplane noise.
It's a quiet neighborhood. Quiet after 9 pm. No bright lights. Pets on leash only. No generators.
We have a nicely paved driveway that leads to a 2-car garage. Our teardrop camper is parked on one side of the driveway. You can park your small trailer or RV on the other. Standard street conditions.
We prefer a van rather than a towed trailer.
That's because we park our car in the garage, and you may need to vacate the driveway so we can get in the garage.
However, a small trailer can fit in the driveway.
The tow vehicle can park on the street. Or block the foot of the driveway. You must be willing to move your trailer if requested.
We do some traveling.
Half Moon Bay, Francis State Beach, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.
Local restaurants. Sam's Chowder House. Hiking, biking, coastal trail access.
Barbara was SO kind. Her place is steps away from a marine preserve. She took time on one morning to give our kids a personal tour of her beautiful garden full of native plants.
Quiet spot. Friendly hosts. Great communication.
We were even luckily enough to catch some tide pools walking distance from our van with our morning coffee before hitting the road.
Great stay. Thank you for the delicious grapefruit and all your helpful tips on things to do in the area!
It was absolutely wonderful staying outside of our host's home. They were both so welcoming and hospitable. The neighborhood is beautiful and right on the water with plenty of trails close by. The host has a rich knowledge of the local flora and fauna and it was great chatting with her. Would definitely stay here again!
