Almost retired!! Details: Sue is a retired RN. Rick still works some doing consulting work and keeps busy with home projects, family and travel. Have traveled somewhat extensively to various continents. We take folks to Israel on tours. Rick used to deliver RV's for an RV dealer friend and gained experience in various types of RV's. Home Town: We have lived in various cities-- Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Vancouver, BC. Settled in Redding some years ago because we have a daughter here and also other extended family. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Fairly new at this but BLM lands and Corps of Engineer sites intrigue us. Looking forward very much to making friends with fellow Boondockers Welcome members! We have found Cracker Barrel locations very pleasant and accessible. Skills or Expertise to Share: Reasonably skilled mechanically. Can do minor maintenance. We both like people and fancy ourselves as reasonably good communicators. We enjoy making new friends. Rick speaks German and both he and Sue studied Spanish but are not really fluent.

My husband and I had a delightful 2-night stay in Rick and Sue's. We had a level spot in their driveway in this beautiful neighborhood. They are so easy to communicate with and so welcoming and helpful. We had such a a great timing talking to them. There is a really nice preserve within walking distance where we walked around the beautiful wetlands adjacent to this neighborhood. We look forward to staying here again on future trips to or through Redding.

This was a perfect overnight spot! Rick and Sue responded almost immediately to our stay request, met us as we drove in, and told us about local places to visit. Rick also offered water and electric. I walked in the beautiful park from their home, which was nice after a long drive. Tea and conversation in their home was a treat. Thank you for your kindness and a wonderful stay! We will see you again!

Rick was such a gracious host. He offered a water source to top off my tank and described a perfect spot to hike my dog only one minute walking distance away. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet and the parking spot level. It was a lovely evening.
