Door County is home to five state parks, vineyards, wineries, fishing villages, boating, hiking, biking. The bay of Green Bay is about three miles to the west and Lake Michigan is 12 miles north or to the east with access in Sturgeon Bay. Can go salmon fishing in Algoma about 20 miles east, visit a cheese factory down the road about 2 miles or bike on country roads around our place. Lots of wildlife, wildflowers, beautiful stars and night sky, gorgeous sunsets and very peaceful.
As we have cats who are fearful of dogs and neighbor has a dog, would request no dogs to avoid conflicts. Cats ok if kept inside your own RV.
No smoking on property.
Narrow gravel drive with no turnaround; we share the driveway so would be difficult for large RV. Paved country road. Watch for deer and turkeys. Woodsy. Ice and snow covered in winter.
Parking would be next to large metal building (near propane tank) but please stay on gravel drive.
Winter is generally not a good time as there is just too much snow in the driveway and the ground would be too mushy to park prior to May. This is a spring/summer/fall location. Colors are beautiful in the fall.
Can take the ferry to Washington Island and visit a lavender farm, drive around Door County to visit any shops or festivals or lighthouses. Walk beaches, go swimming, running, hiking, biking, sailing, diving, fishing...any water sports. Cherry picking nearby and throughout Door County. Lots of apple, grape and cherry orchards and farm markets.
