Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are 5 minutes outside the town of Smithfield on 38 acres of mostly wooded land. We are mostly secluded and have walking trails on the property. The trails are well defined and there are some hilly parts.
If you need electricity and/or water, you would park by our garage. If you just want to totally boondock, you would park in one of the grassy areas. If you are with a group of campers we can probably accommodate up to 6. If not groups, then only 3.
We do have three dogs that run at large most of the day. If that is a concern please let us know so we can put them in a fenced area.
If you use electricity to run an AC unit or heater, we ask for $10 to help cover utlities.
If you just use it for lights then just $5.
Be respectful. Leave the property in the same condition in which you found it. Be sure we communicate about pets prior to your arrival.
If you smoke, please dispose of butts in the proper way.
We live off a short dirt road. There is a bend in the road but we have no problems navigating with our 30’ travel trailer.
Depending on where you park (whether you want access to electricity or not) will depend on the amount of backing. But, there is lots of room for backing.....no tight spaces.
Lots of parking for tow vehicles right by your rig.
We are 5 minutes outside of downtown Smithfield..... home of Smithfield hams. Smithfield has a downtown district featuring historic attractions, charming shops, boutiques and galleries as well as restaurants and a brew pub. We are one hour from the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
Lots of historic locations and numerous military bases within an hour.
