Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostThere is a shallow well on the property that previous owners used for drinking water. I have a gasoline powered pump I can hook up and assist guests with water from. I would suggest boiling the water for drinking, but it is perfectly fine for washing, and for animals.
There is plenty of space around the property, but be responsible. Fires in the fire pit. This will be primitive camping, although I will assist where I can. Pets are okay but you are responsible to look after them. Do not cause issues with the neighbors. No four wheeling over the mountainside or damage to the property.
Plenty of deadwood around which is fine for campfires. Do not leave trash, pack out what you bring in.
Gravel access road, well maintained. Should be able to turn around up in the camping area. Will assist visitors as much as I can.
Level Gravel Parking Spot at top of the hill
Reach out and discuss beforehand. I've never done this before.
Appalachian trail is close by. The property is approximately an hour from Blacksburg Virginia (Home of Virginia Tech). The New River is also close by and popular for canoe , kayaks etc in the warmer weather.
Monroe County is one of the prettiest counties in West Virginia, and there is good access to the property and the local area (highway 219). Make use of Google Maps and take a look. .
