In a valley between 2 mountains 5 miles from Mountain City, Tn. About an hour from Johnson City, Bristol, and Boone, NC.
Inverter generators preferred. None before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM out of respect for our neighbors.
Clear open sky for solar panels.
Prefer no loose dogs but okay if kept under owner's control and cleaned up after.
Keep your butts if you smoke.
There is a trash collection site about a mile from our house if you need to dispose of trash, with a $2 minimum fee.
We have to take our trash there and prefer not to have to take yours too. Thanks.
Paved road right up to our driveway. I park a 19' travel trailer, 24' pontoon boat, and other smaller trailers with no problem. Two blocks off a major highway. One sharp right turn off Dillon Rd. onto Old Butler Rd., no long driveway, and no low hanging trees or power lines.
Space to park the tow vehicle or room to stay connected, if desired. We have 2 spots with 30 amp service and water. One is accessible for vans, Class B (20' or so) and one for bumper pulls, truck campers, & Class C. Vans or campers that don't require power are able to pull just off the road and park on flat ground. A third water source is close for them.
We hope to be able to start travelling again this spring and may not be around to host in person but will work out details on an individual basis if you need a place while we are gone. Anytime we are here, you are welcome.
1 hour from Linville Falls in NC, Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus, Va. for great bicycle rides, 45 minutes from Bristol Caverns, 15 minutes from The Appalachian Trail, 10 miles from Watauga Lake, 30 minutes from Backbone Rock & The Snake in Shady Valley, TN. We are about an hour from at least 3 different access points to The Blue Ridge Parkway. Wonderful local artists mural displays in downtown Mountain City. Copy and paste the links to view. Compliments of "Johnson County Center For The Arts."
A perfect place to escape the noise and lights of the city. Lovely property and a gracious, helpful host.
Thanks for 2 great nights sleep !
Our host was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us a tour of his property and ideas of fun things to do in the area. We had a very restful night.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this location. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, made sure I got settled in and offered to help me in any way they could. I would definitely recommend this spot to anybody traveling through the area.
We had a wonderful time at Last Stop. We shared our interests with the hosts, and they gave us great suggestions on just what to do. We had a great day on the beautiful bike trail and another great day seeing our first Revelutionary War museum. Thank you for a great stay. We hope to come back and explore more of the Appalachian Mountains in that area.
Wonderful, kind, considerate hosts. We were there for 3 quiet, restful nights. We wanted to rest and the hosts did everything possible to be sure we got rested and relaxed. They shared their fire pit with us, and shared abundance from their vegetable garden. We hope to stay here again on our way back home.
Had a very quiet night's stay at Last Stop Tennessee. I'm sorry I did not get to meet the hosts in person, but the accommodations were wonderful. 30 amp with a mountain view. Can't ask for anything better! I'm so appreciative!
Wonderful host. Great communication. Lovely surroundings.
We had a wonderful stay at Dave and Kelly’s property, beautifully located between the mountains. Friendly hosts with lots to talk about!! Nice meeting you and thanks for your hospitality.
Cozie spot, very generous Hosts. Would love to visit them again someday.
Kelly and Dave were great and very friendly hosts! They were ready to help us get parked as soon as we arrived. They even had a campfire ready to go for us! The area was quiet and we had wonderful conversations with both Kelly and Dave! The scenery on the way in and out of the area was gorgeous as well, we would stay here again!
