Very nice hosts offering local knowledge we took advantage of. I wish their oysteria had been open during our visit. Maybe we’ll get back there when it is. Don’t miss Pemaquid Point and LaVerna Preserve for a hike.

What great hosts! Both of them were so nice and accommodating. I truly appreciate their hospitality and willingness to share their place as a hosting site. This stay allowed me to continue to my East Coast bicycle ride and I am so grateful!

Perfect. We had signed up for a Puffin tour with Hardy Boat Cruises in New Harbor. It was an evening tour so we needed a place nearby for the night. Behind-the-Barn was just minutes away. We arrived about 4, checked in with our hosts and we're off to our tour so we didn't get much time to chat. This is their business so we didn't see our hosts after the tour. They had a private spot for us in the woods but it wasn't real level so we ended up next to the barn. We had a good night's rest then saw our hosts briefly in the morning. Wish we had had more time to chat. Very interesting and friendly couple. Behind-the-Barn is a bit off the beaten track but worth a stop - especially if you are going to do one of the harbor tours. Great experience. Great hosts.
