Narrow gravel roads in are worth the trip for a million dollar view. Park lakeside with electric and water. A dump is available at another spot a couple hundred feet up the hill. Zero to one bar of Verizon. Host will offer wifi password however. Tip... download your directions out while you have a signal. Friendly host willing to share his time. Spectacular location. Bring your fishing gear!
We stayed a week at Big Buffalo Cove. The time flew by, absolutely the most stunning location we have stayed at using boondockers welcome. They are on a quiet corner of the lake. The fishing is amazing, the views stunning, and the hosts are the exact defintion of Southern hospitality. We can't wait to spend more time with them.
I thought for several days about how I could possibly iterate in a “reference” the time spent at this location and with these hosts. I came to the conclusion that it wasn’t within my abilities. I’ve never felt more at home in my entire life. This was more than an overnight boondock; it was an amazing experience. These hosts are so accommodating and welcoming and I am absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity shown. We were so reluctant to leave that it became emotional pulling away. (Thank you two so much from the bottom of our hearts) We will be coming back here at least once a year for the foreseeable future.
We loved the area and very nice down to earth couple. Its a very nice county area off the lake. We loved sitting out watching the fireflies. It was actually the first time my family has seen them so we are pretty stocked. If we travel back through in this area we would definitely request to stay again.
