Important things to note: This is a quiet residential neighborhood fairly close to I35 (E & W). Water hookup is limited by season; outdoor access is only available approx. mid-March to mid-October (weather pending). Be prepared for alternatives. There is a community dump station within 5 miles of my home.
> Non-aggressive Dog/s welcome. No excessive barking. There is a yellow Lab on site. Tie outs in the front can be used, otherwise please keep your pup/s on leash or lead of your own. There is no fence. Our Lab will be kept on lead or leash while you are here.
> No smoking on property.
> No parties or persons other than your own travel family.
> Noise levels should be kept down, as it's a peaceful neighborhood.
> You are welcome to use the front yard and the section of driveway you are parked on for yourselves to place chairs, bbq. Please keep any fires safely away from vehicles and campers.
> Lastly, you are welcome to explore the back yard in the day to sit by the waterfall, or pick raspberries if they are ripe. I just ask you leave the wooden deck and concrete patio (back) for my use alone and not use the back yard after 7pm.
> Extra-Quiet hours from 10pm-8am weekdays. Weekends 11pm-9am.
The roads are smooth but within a neighborhood. On a slight hill.
Depending on the size of your rig and tow vehicle, you may be able to park in front of your own rig or in front of mine. If not, street parking is available.
I have blocked off most of cold season as it's harder to boondock at my home. You are welcome to ask, if you are prepared to dry camp (electric still available, no water) and if the driveway is not too covered in snow to fit.
Within 10-25 minutes drive from home you can access the Mall of America, Valley Fair Amusement park, Canterbury Park (seasonal horse racing, etc.), Renaissance Fair (seasonal), Apple Valley Aquatic Center/ Water park, Mystic Lake Casino, local Apple Orchards and Farm markets. There are also several local lakes for swimming and very nice golf courses in the area. We are en route to Minnesota's infamous North Shore / Boundary Waters, etc., and a vast array of state parks and forests for exploring in Minnesota.
We had a great stay at Minnesota Podders. Our host was great with easy communication. We loved the backyard. A very pleasant stay. Thank you!
This host has a nice quiet neighborhood so you can get a good night's rest, but is close enough to the airport in Minneapolis that it works well if you need to drop someone off or pick them up there. Will definitely keep Podders in mind if we're in the area again. Host was very friendly and accommodating.
Podders is in a nice quiet neighborhood where we got a great night's rest before my wife had to fly out from the Minneapolis airport the next day. Easy trip over to the airport from here. The host was nice enough to offer an electric plug-in and that 15-amp household outlet is right around the corner on the garage near where you park in the driveway. The driveway can be a bit unlevel depending on your length of rig, so make sure you have blocks or something to help out with that. We're marking this as a spot where we would certainly stay again. Very good experience.
We were Minnesota"Podders" first guests and had a great stay! Miche88 is a great host, asked if we needed anything and was very attentive. Very nice back yard with a beautiful rock garden waterfall. Host even let us pick some fresh raspberries which we used for pancakes, yum! Miche88 also gave us great info on sights to see, Minnehaha Falls, Mall of America, all within 20-30 mins. Plenty of shopping, gas nearby. I highly recommend this BW Host! Would Definitely stay again. Thank you Miche88.
