We’re at the north end of the Sandra Mountains located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We have wild horses that roam Placitas and a herd of 3 that frequent our property.
We have 3 dogs and 3 cats that roam around our home so unknown dogs would be a challenge more so because of our cat’s. If you have a small well-behaved dog who would be on a leash we’d consider it.
Great Skiing, hiking and mtn biking trails we are convenient to Santa Fe or Albuquerque very rural and quiet. We have all hook ups 50,30 and 15 so we can accommodate any vehicle.
No smoking, no drugs, no partying,
Quiet hours 9:00pm - 7:30am
No running generators needed we have power
Check in 3:00pm or call
Check out when your ready for the most part
Sketchy Wi-Fi (but if we like you, you might be able to use it on our patio, wink-wink)
Porta Potty for your use as well
Our road is approx 1/4 mile gravel road from pavement of the main road to our house very well maintained with a few little twists. One low hanging tree at a sharp corner no problem for 25ft trailer with vehicle. Big open space to park and maneuver your rig. Incredible Mountain View’s with wild horses that visit daily and plenty of other wildlife on occasion.. The spot is a back in space with no pull thru per say. we also have 50,30 and 15 amp availability as well as water availability for filling up your tank. There is a free dump station 6 miles from our house which is adjacent to the exit off of I-25 if need be speak to Liam for actual location and directions.
We have a big open gravel parking area. Right by the spot.
"We do a lot of last minute trips in the summer, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you."
You can alway check if you have a small dog that would be left on a leash and we can see if it’s a fit.

A great stay and beautiful location. Very helpful hosts and even joined us for a round of golf.
Yep, truly enjoyed my time here. It was hard to leave these damn fine hosts and their beautiful property. The hospitality and warmth they showed me were bar none—it’s amazing how nice it was just to socialize and share in conversation for a few days.
Thank you for everything, much love to you both, and I hope to be able to visit again in the future!
We really enjoyed staying at Placitas, NM. The hosts and location are amazing. Beautiful house and incredible scenery. Water and Power were available!! We will love to comeback!
We were greeted by our host and shown where to park our RV. Beautiful view of the mountains. Very quiet. Plenty on restaurants nearby. We saw 3 of the wild horses that come down from the hills in the evening for some hay. We love their dog Ozzy.
The hosts were very kind and helpful. Backing in was tricky, so I appreciated that the host did that for me. You are up in the hills with great views.
We had a great stay. Iiam and Marti were gracious and accommodating hosts. Stayed on gravel drive with access to their backyard and great view of the mountains and sunset. Enjoyed experiencing a bit of their lifestyle and the conversation. Thanks!
We loved the place, the people and the pets. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to rest our bones before driving into Albuquerque. The hosts are funny, interesting, kind and helpful. Great sunset viewing and easy drive to the city.
Due to family concerns, we were only able to stay for a very short time. Hosts were very accommodating and would love to go back.
