My hosts were there when I arrived to make sure I found the spot and took the time to tell me about the points of interest near by. Unfortunately I misjudged while backing up and got stuck. so I asked my host for help and he graciously came back with his truck and pulled me out. It was a bit embarrassing but I was thankful I didn’t have to call a tow truck. We were able to visit all the places mentioned in one day and all were worth seeing.

Great spot for a few nights' rest - no frills, but it's safe, easy to access, and centrally located right off the highway (literally, but not too noisy). Note that you might need some leveling help if you're sensitive to sloping. John was great at communication and stopped by to say hi and chat for a few minutes after we arrived, providing a few recommendations for activities and resources in the area. Pups are allowed, and since you're right on the highway with no houses nearby, no quiet hours for the generator. :) Thanks!

So sorry! I forgot to add our THANKS to RT-20 for allowing us to stay at their location. Their generosity allowed us to explore the area. On their recommendation we checked out Pratt's Falls Park. Very nice walking trails and views. THANKS again for hosting us and participating in HH!

We received a prompt response to our request. John and Sue greeted us upon our arrival. The site is a little tricky to find but the Google satellite view helped. We were able to maneuver our 20" van to get mostly level. The location is on a busy commuter highway but its quiet at night. The Pompey Mall convenience store is very close - offering good gas price, clean restrooms, pleasant staff and a wide variety of snacks.
