Well behaved pets are welcome. Dogs must be cat friendly as we have a resident barn cat mouser. There is a wide trail/path we keep mowed around a 3 acre field which is a great do walk. There is so much wildlife to sniff out, a leash may be best. We are offering a place to stay as so many places are full or closed due to covid. We can wave you to a parking spot and electrical from a distance. We are not fancy here and we are not big socializers, but glad to be a host. Responsible smoking is fine.
Just common sense safety and courtesy is the rule. Additional nights can be ok on a case by case basis. Ok to ask.
We are located between Des Moines and Marshalltown on a small acerage. Our place is off a main highway, 6/10 of a mile down a gravel road. There is ample room to turn around, but no pull-through parking. If road conditions are sketchy - this is Iowa - we will endevor to close out those days in advance. Parking is a combo of gravel and grass. Weather and unit permitting, we could put you up in a wooded area. It’s hard to describe the Main parking area but it is basically at the end of our dead-end road. Not super duper level, but certainly doable.
We can make room on our gravel driveway for a tow vehicle or a small unit. If your group has more than one unit, we may be able to accommodate, but only one 30 amp receptacle.
We are gone, sometimes at the last minute, so double check with us and please ask questions.
