We have 5 acres about a mile south of town, about 15 minutes from I-70.
Pets are welcome, but we have horses and chickens, plus dogs of our own. No smoking. If we can't get your electric hooked up you can run your generator, but hopefully you won't have to.
We live in the country on a 2 lane paved road. We have a wide drive but if you have a 5th wheel you just have to swing wide a bit to miss the walls at the driveway entrance. Larger rigs will want to come in to our drive from the east; the intersection to the west is two county roads and may be tight.
I have 3 locations:
Circular drive in front of the house. This is about a 70' diameter drive. Larger rigs will still need to swing wide. There is 15 (maybe 20) amp electric and water available here.
Circular drive in back of the house. This is about a 30' diameter drive. The max that can turn around in this drive is around a 33' 5th wheel (and that is challenging). Overhead clearance is just enough for a larger 5th wheel. Larger rigs will definitely need a spotter to make this turn. There is a 60A welder plug here that I have adapters for to get to 50A, 30A, or 15/20A. Water is available here.
Pull off on east side of front circular drive. This is a 50' drive that is an entrance for our barn. 20A electric is available, and water is available but we have to run a hose across the main driveway.
Parking is also available in our back pastures, but it needs to be dry, and water/electric may be too far out.
Jessie was very welcoming and the atmosphere was wonderful with frogs at night.
We really enjoyed our visit with our host. It was a quiet lovely location and we especially loved playing with their dogs. We would definitely want to stay again sometime.
What a wonderful peaceful place to stay!! Our Host were wonderful and the the home is beautiful.. It was so peaceful waking up to birds chirping and horses trotting and the beautiful view.. I would rate this Boondockers stay a 10!! Highly recommended!!
Our hosts were so accommodating! We stayed with them the last night of our 3 week vacation. Their property is so quiet and peaceful. We were given our choice of locations to park and chose to be way in the back. It was if we were camping with no one around. Beautiful spot and very convenient to I-70. Hands down our favorite boondocker location so far. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area.
We had a very pleasant stay and went to bed early after a very long day. The entire family was awesome and welcoming. Thank you.
Thanks ! Your place was perfect, We enjoy to stay ! We left quick because we had to find a place for the covid test before the canadian border... Hope to see you again.
What a beautiful place to spend an evening with really nice people! Thank you so much, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The views were just amazing, listening to your horse's graze, aglass of wine on your deck, it was all just part of the wonderful experience. Thank you again.
This place was everything I had hoped for, and then some. The hosts were just exceptional people!
beautiful setting in a beautiful area....quiet, comfortable stay....accommodating and personable folks.... wishing we had more time to explore the area
We really enjoyed our stay! Restfull, quite, with awesome views and beautiful sunset. With an added bonus of being close enough to town for all our needs.
The Escher House hosts were very friendly and accommodating despite it being one of their birthdays and us arriving just as it was getting dark. Thanks for a nice stay!
Escher House was quite beautiful and peaceful. Our hosts were very helpful and hospitable. After a very long and trying day we couldn’t ask for anything more, helping us in the cold rain too! Thanks again!
