We are rural, depending on which direction you want to drive we are one hour from Madison, WI, one hour from Dubuque, IA, one hour from Janesville, WI or Rockford IL.
We prefer no smoking
Not more than one pet
This is a working farm-machinery and private buildings are off-limits to guests.
Access to our property is via a county paved road, we have a gravel horseshoe shaped driveway, vehicle turning is not necessary.
No problem parking a tow vehicle next to the RV
We are near Monroe, Wisconsin widely known for cheese making and New Glarus, its Swiss Heritage and the New Glarus Brewery.
They are so nice. It was a beautiful spot. My husband wanted to work the farm!😁
Really enjoyed the place.
The host are just like the picture portrays them! Really friendly country folks just my kind of people. Only stayed one night but location is nice, shady, peaceful and quiet. You will need something to level your RV with but not a big deal. Thanks for the produce we haven't cooked it yet but plan on it tomorrow. If we get to come back your way I'm will plan on staying a little longer. HOPE you got all the tomatoes put up Gayl if not ask Gene to help you. (lol)
Thanks, again for sharing with us!
We enjoyed our visit immensely. The dairy farming and cheese making history of the area is very interesting. The farm camping spot was wonderful. The hosts are very nice and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We hope to stay again someday.
Although my stay was just an overnight, I found my hosts, and their family across the road, to be wonderfully friendly and great hosts. The farm is easy to find on good roads and simple parking for my rig.
I'd be pleased to stay here again.
Wonderful experience staying with our hosts. Really enjoyed chatting with them and the camping site was perfect. We would definitely stay again. Absolutely delightful people.
We were honored to be Gene & Gayl's first Boondockers!
They were extremely accomodating and super nice!
Lovely piece of land and beautiful house. We spent the day walking some of their giant 300-acre property and also hiked around a nearby lake. Enjoyed the local town of Monroe and overall had a great experience.
