We are lucky folks, situated right on a pond- North Pond- in the Western Maine mountains. We have space in our driveway with water and electricity for a camper 25 feet or less; we also have space for tent camping on the shore. We have canoes, kayaks, and a 40-foot dock. We travel in the winter so we're only here from May until November. Spring, summer, and fall are available. We have canoes and kayaks and a pontoon boat for an evening cruise around the pond. This little lake is some of the best fishing around: Largemouth, Smallmouth, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Pickerel, Sunfish and more. Guests are welcome to use what we have (with prior notice and at your own risk), except the pontoon boat which needs a family member to operate per insurance requirements.
-We are pet friendly and we have two cats and two dogs. Your cats must stay inside (too easy to get lost) and dogs must be leashed at all times.
-Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
-The gravel road speed limit is 15 mph.
-Check with us before using canoes and kayaks- we have life jackets.
-Quiet time is after 10pm until 7am.
-Check with us before using the fire pit. We always have wood.
Take only pictures, leave only footprints :-)
We are a mile in on a well-maintained gravel road. We have a brand new paved driveway and it requires a turn around to set up. It's a bit of a squeeze, so let us know when you're coming in so we can be there to help.
There is ample room for your tow vehicle to be parked next door or we park next door to make room in our driveway.
We are often on the road in the winter ourselves and our road is too unpredictable in winter months. See you in May.
Coronavirus Info: We will be able to socially distance for mutual safety, but request masks whenever we get near each other.
Historic downtown Norway with shops and restaurants, White Mountains an hour away, numerous hiking trails near and far, too many other local activities to list. We have brochures for the area attractions.
