Our property (4C Ranch) offers 260 acres of Central Texas beauty. You will find large open pastures with grazing cattle, as well as deeply forested areas teeming with wildlife. We have 3 ponds, one is stocked with bass and perch (catch and release).
We are happy to offer two 30 amp hookups near the barn with access to fill your water tank along with three 50 amp and one 30 amp hookups including water in front near the farm store.
We currently feature daily prepared food specials (Wednesday-Sunday) and craft beer at our on-site brew barn. You can also visit our farm store adorned with a variety of packaged goods, farm fresh eggs and dairy items, plus pasture raised beef and pork products.
The property houses our barn home to our free ranging chickens, 2 beloved Guernsey cows, a Long Horn and we currently have two calves. Our three horses are usually grazing this area also. We have a large fire pit to gather around with a small pool, picnic tables, chairs, swings, hammock, and grills. There are many well marked trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding (bring your own!) and several wet weather creeks to explore.
You are welcome to purchase products from our farm store, www.4cmarket.com; including pastured beef, pork, chicken, & eggs. Dairy products from our Guernsey cows. Split firewood, bagged ice, plus much more!
We have a craft brewery, www.4cbrewbarn, sold by the glass or growler.
When you go through a gate, if it’s closed, close it back. If it’s open, leave it open.
Do not let your pets chase our livestock, especially the chickens.
Gravel road on property with parking in the grass.
Next to the rig
A great 2 day stop to enjoy Farm Life. The owners/hosts were very busy but still took the time to share their farm and talk with us. We chose to stay near the barnyard as we love watching farm animals. The food was definitely several steps above the average restaurant. We enjoyed the 2 meat smoked platter on the porch. The Mac and Cheese was - for lack of better words, “out of this world”. We took some fresh stuffed Boudin for the road. We have all 4 thumbs up for the 4C.
Very pleasant farm with animalks, home made goods, meats with a beer counter. Host was gracious.
The hosts are very welcoming and informative. Our stay was truly an experience. We interacted with the livestock purchased some great bacon and eggs from there farm store and wandered in there pastures. They said make yourselves at home and I truly believe they meant that. You won’t be disappointed in a stay here!
Another great stay at 4C Adventure. This time I got one of the spots with power and water hookup. A lovely place in among the trees. Beer and food was great as always, and we got to observe and enjoy some real «on the farm» activities. A friend and her kids stayed at the rental camper, on-site. The kids loved the ranch and the pool, and had lots of new life experiences over the 24 hrs they stayed. I am sure I will be back - this is a great place with amazing hosts.
4C Adventure is our second stay through Boondockers Welcome. I can tell you that they are a hidden gem when passing through Texas. The hosts are nothing but welcoming, eager to offer help to newbies like myself (which is always well appreciated) and they sure know how to cook and brew! 4C has a beautiful shop where they offer a variety of farm-fresh meats, produce, snacks and my favorite - craft beer. I definitely recommend 4C Adventure if you are wanting a relaxing and family-friendly/safe place to stay overnight or for a week like we did. There’s nothing like working remotely from my rig and getting to experience livestock and horses walking by! To the hosts - thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your ranch for the week. We’ll definitely be back.
Enjoyable stay over 3 days. Shared stories of common experiences in the foreign countries. Melissa is a wonderful cook and you have to try their smoked brisket. Free range eggs, homemade bread, jams etc, are all worth it!! Couldn’t ask for a better place to relax.
We enjoyed our stay at 4C Ranch. The host was friendly and helpful. We found a pretty level spot across from the horses and had a peaceful evening.
We stayed overnight at the farm. Got to the site early enough to fish in the private pond, hike, and have lunch served by the hosts. Would come back here anytime we passed through. Hosts have begun making beer and they are already better at it then some of the breweries that have been at it for years.
Awesome place for a breath of fresh air and country living. Our hosts were fantastic. Be sure to visit their store for fresh eggs and ranch raised meats. Will definitely be back - a half way stop for us when traveling to the Texas Hill Country.
4C Adventure was our very first time using boondockers welcome and our experience was so easy going and exceeded any expectations we had. My family of 6 enjoyed watching all of the free range animals on the farm while they played and swam. In the evening cows, chickens and horses would graze right next to us while I was making dinner. Speaking of dinner, I was able to buy fresh milk, eggs, meat to cook with and it was all delicious. Our kids didn’t want to leave 4C adventure and neither did we. We appreciated them welcoming us to their little piece of paradise. It’s exactly what my kids needed before a long few months of traveling the country.
We totally enjoyed our time at the 4C and the food and location were excellent.
Are 2 night stay was great. We enjoyed the quietness of this ranch/farm. The horses, chickens and cows showed their curiosity by coming up to the RV giving us an opportunity to take photos and enjoy their company. We had great food and beer at the farm market store. No traffic noise and the roosters were kind enough to not start early in the morning. We would really recommend this stop even if it takes you a little out of your way.
Nice Hosts and Staff. Very friendly. Food was very good and priced reasonably. Loved to hear the chickens in the morning. Would stay there again without hesitation.
I had a great 2 nights stay here. The hosts are very good people. I asked for a peaceful spot and got it. A little part of the forest just for me. The farm store on the property provided great homegrown and home cooked food, good wifi so I could do my ‘home office work’ and tasty craft beers brewed just outside (#4cbrewbarn). The stars were beautiful, the farm animals were happy and I woke up surrounded by birdsong.
I will be back soon!
Grazing cattle, free-range chickens, quite sleeping, waking to the crowing rooster. A delightful stay. Fresh eggs and the best milk I have had in years.
We spent 3 very lazy day’s eating and drinking from the store. The fresh food is delicious. The bread, the milk, bacon and eggs...
The farm and the hospitality was fantastic.
We want to visit again...
This is one of the best boondocking places we have been. Our son was in heaven with all the animals, spaces to explore, and other kids there to play with. The folks staying in property were super helpful and extremely nice. They even showed us around and took us out to see the cows. We did buy some fresh eggs and meat. Thank you for opening up your land. Thus us a memory our son will cherish.
Numerous spots throughout the property to set up camp from sites across from the store atop the hill with water and electric to hidden sites in the trees or next to the pond for those who desire a more intimate rustic atmosphere. Cows and chickens roam free and can often be found right outside your RV window. The camp store is filled with pork beef and dairy products raised on the ranch and numerous homemade goods. Melissa is serving a farm to table meal that changes daily and each day was equally delicious while Vernon pours craft beers and hard seltzer’s he brews in house. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and the opportunity to meet a plethora of fellow campers along with being able to explore every inch of the vast property was truly a unique experience. We were able to extend our stay this visit and will absolutely return whenever we can!
P.S. Make sure to try the homemade Boudin, Kambucha and Salsa — the are all super scrumptious!!
Wonderful location! Ranch store has pork products, beef products, salsa, baked goods and craft items plus craft beer. Hosts are super friendly and so accommodating. Thursday evening we had supper at store hot dogs coleslaw and ice tea. Also offered Cajun pork and rice item served in hotdog bun. Lots of friendly chickens and cows and pigs. We were supposed to leave Friday morning but severe weather thunderstorms and hail was forecast for Friday night’s destination so our hosts graciously are allowing us to stay an extra night.
This is a great place to stay!
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and our kids loved seeing all the farm animals! Sadly, we had quite a bit of computer work to catch up on so we weren't able to get out and explore the farm much but are hoping to be back again to get the full experience! We enjoyed our stay immensely!
This place was our first boondockers place but everything was amazing. They have a perfect arrangement of a farm to table shop. They have their own craft beer as well. It's a brief look at a how the farming dream is. They have chickens, cows, horses, hogs, and a few critters. We are very grateful for our host. We definitely recommend this place. We won't forget it.
I don't think I could top the comments left earlier this month by "oio_CHASE_oio". Everything they said and more. But I have to comment on the "above and beyond" assistance by the owner and staff member. When I arrived, I was assisted by a staff member in selecting the best parking spot for my RV, and he then guided me into the spot. After I was parked the staff member commented that something didn't look quite right with the RV, and speculated that I may have a suspension issue. The next morning -- SUNDAY morning -- both the owner and staff remember came by to take a look at the RV. They crawled on the ground to investigate the underside of the RV. Recognizing that the shackles had flipped, and with a lot of effort on their part, they corrected the position of two of the shackles so I could continue the trip. During the efforts the owner shared some of his wealth of knowledge of RVs, and I learned a lot during the experience (and I've been RVing since 1977!). Thank you, Sir!
Fabulous BW destination. This couple are Harvest Hosts as well as BW. Most stay location for those w children. You can watch milking in progress visit the cows, pigs and chickens. It’s just lovely. Enjoyed it soooo much.
We arrived late in the evening and it was a bit dark, but it was still easy to spot the entrance. They were very welcoming, offering to bring us to the spot where we would park before we drove back there in the dark. There was a bit of an "S" curve on the property, but I was easily able to navigate this in our 33ft Class A pulling a tow vehicle. There were no low hanging limbs to worry about. We loved sitting and watching the cows grazing right outside our window. The calf was a delight to watch paying! The land itself is so beautiful... it seems to have a little bit of everything. The night sky is beautiful, especially by the fire. The owners are more than welcoming. We were on a road trip to Austin to see friends for my husbands birthday and they were kind enough to write his name on a dessert they had made up front at the farm store. They definitely went above and beyond for us. We cant wait to return. Next time we hope we get to help feed the cows!
The hosts at this day will truly a godsend to me!
Traveling through Texas, and the Storm of the century hit. Below freezing temperatures, power outages all over the state, wind chill factors, ice covered everything ...thankfully I had an upcoming stay scheduled at the BW location, as not only did they let me come early to beat the storm they also let me stay for a full week with them to write it out their power stayed on and I stayed safe and warm, not to mention very well fed! Thank you!!!!
We enjoyed our stay here. After traveling for over a year our kids missed having farm animals. They went out each day to play with the baby chickens and cows, each day the brought in the horses and brushed them. We were also able to enjoy the fresh eggs and milk😋. Hosts were super friendly and invited us back any time!
We loved our stay at 4C market! Really great hospitable friendly hosts and guests! A very homey atmosphere and lots to do and awesome fire pit to sit around! Lots of room to park and so fun to check out all the animals! Well definitely go back when we can!
What a wonderful stay for our family! We so enjoyed our stay that we actually extended 1 more night for a total of 3 and still hated to leave! We didn’t get a chance to spend time with Melissa as she had to go out of town but Vernon was the greatest! We had happy hours, bonfires, a chance to feed the farm animals, milk the cows and buy some of their most delicious meats and treats. Vernon and “the boys” were also so kind to my 11year old boy that this is an adventure he will always remember. Thanks so much Melissa and Vernon for your hospitality and your kindness. We highly recommend!
We enjoyed every minute of our time here. The hosts are SO hospitable and welcoming. Their working farm is absolutely beautiful. Our whole family had such a unique experience here and even got to learn how to milk a cow and do lots of other farm chores. If you're anywhere near the area, you'll be missing out of you don't stop by!!
Thank you 4C Adventure for sharing your beautiful ranch property. Being able to find and enjoy some peaceful and relaxing surroundings nowadays is truly a blessing from God. Loved all the farm animals and the opportunity to purchase farm fresh meat, milk, eggs, cheese and some of Vernon’s excellent brew. We will definitely keep 4C Adventure on our list of favorite Texas camping spots.
Our stay at the 4Cmarket + BrewBarn was just what we were looking for, a quiet and relaxing environment where we could be settled for a day of working remotely. And it was much more thanks to the hosts who invited us to join them around the campfire, and the various farm fresh items and craft beer they had for purchase to enjoy as well. A very friendly and accommodating couple who made us feel at home on their little piece of heaven in the Texas countryside!
We enjoyed our stay a LOT! They are great hosts! Their ranch is a great place to relax and eat healthy and delicious farm products. Our kiddos loved Mable(their superstar dairy cow). We are definitely coming back!
Btw, if you are planning to visit their place , make sure you try all their dairy products, beef and pork meat , and of course their home brewed beers (my favorite was Coffee Stout) are all very very tasty!
Melissa and Vernon have a sweet little ranch that was a wonderful place to stay. We parked our van by a pond and it was peaceful. We picked up breads, ground meat, soap and more all from the hosts creations. Oh and craft beer too!! Highly recommended 👌
This place was a great 3 night stay. No problem with a 38’ foot rig and 14’ trailer to fit and be able to turn around fairly easy. The spot we chose was a little tough to level but not impossible and we made it work with a few extra blocks under the jacks. Very quiet, good weather, very nice host, and the bonus of some horses, dogs, cows and chickens. Also has a nice trail around the property to hike and were easy to moderate in difficulty. There are a few towns not far away for things you may need. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area again.
So many fun things to do and EAT! Freshly flash frozen meats, very fresh dairy, delicious salsa, additionally all for purchase so you can also enjoy it at home while remembering your fantastic stay. Meet Mabel the resident milk queen, literally she might be grazing right next to your rig. But no worries she just looks at you, might moo a bit and is on her merry way. You can even enjoy a milking session if you wish. The land has lovely trails, on your walk look for any baby calves. Tjey are so cute. Be sure to end your day enjoying some homebrew stargazing by the fire pit with some friendly Texans.
Our first stay using Boondockerswelcome.com was amazing. The hosts at 4C have a very special property and big plans. We’re are so thankful for their hospitality and a chance to stay on a farm with lots of animals, artisan foods available to buy, and help sample the soon to be famous 4C brews. Our kids (and the adults) will never forget this weekend and are ready to go back again soon.
