Our stay at Walkers Honey Farm could not have been better. The folks in the store and tasting room were very welcoming. The wine and the honey were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie tray on the patio.
We will definitely stop by here again - even if we don't have to stay the night.
We had a great time staying here, great wines and honey products! We kept going back to the store for more honey for friends and family. We will be coming back for sure and telling our friends that this is a must visit
Totally enjoyed my stay here. The hosts are pleasant and helpful. My little dog was also given lots of attention.
Had a peaceful rest on this stopover. Enjoyed the honey farm very much. Some noise from the highway and railroad tracks but didn't disturb me.
The host was very pleasant.
Great location, and plenty of room to get around even for a 42' class A with a toad.
We stopped here for a night on our way to Waco. Great wine and honey. Friendly staff. Decent Verizon signal but T-Mobile not so much. We would repeat if we ever pass this way again.
Great Boondocker’s Welcome stop just outside of Austin proper. The host was gracious and provided us all the information we needed for a comfortable nights stay. Walker Honey Farm is located in a beautiful country setting from the blooming blue bonnets to the vast open Texas landscape. We enjoyed our time sampling their wines, (the Dancing Bee Chardonnay was delicious) and meeting the other overnight campers. Definitely put this place on your list when you are in the Austin area.
Great little stop for night. Level spot next to bluebells. Found that perfect honey after tasting several. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again.
Great place for an overnight! Store has all kinds of great products.
We only stayed one evening since we were passing through. However every minute was just as sweet as the next. The staff was kind and taught my littles a little about the honey bee's. They offered free tastings and a beautiful veiw to rest for the evening. I even got some adorable pictures in the fields of blue bonnets. We will definitely stay again next time we pass through.
This is a gravel lot right next to a field filled with blue bonnets & the store, there is a train behind that comes fairly often but it didn’t bother us. We were able to stock up on honey and other goodies! Great stay!
It was fun to stay and taste (and buy) some honey. Very friendly and nice. Great stop!
This place was great and the host was very nice. Has a nice little gift shop. 5 spots to chose from. Very easy access for even the biggest rigs. Like others have said the train rolls through but did not bother us. We left to visit family in Austin and came back late. Gate code worked great and no problems getting back in. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at the Walker Honey Farm. After checking in (super easy and super friendly), we walked over to the shop and enjoyed tasting the honeys along with purchasing items (seriously great prices). I loved the natural beauty line, pralines, and of course - honey. We also enjoyed walking the grounds at sunset and watching the trains go by. I appreciated the distance between our site and other guests spots. I needed to run the generator a couple of times and didn't have to worry about the noise because of the distance. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again.
Very much enjoyed my time here! Very cool area to spend the night!
Used another reference advise and parked near tracks and was surprisingly quiet! Very nice hosts. Enjoyed the wine and honey!
Not a bad place to stay for a quick overnight park. Interesting and nice store.
We parked on the train track did as other users had suggested. Trains would go by, no whistle. Great nights sleep. We bought some creamed honey and had a flight of wine and a charcuterie board. Very good. Very accommodating hosts. Definitely recommend and would stay again
Even with train running close by wasn’t disturbing. Morning sunrise was great. I don’t have any pets but had several droppings around where I was to park. Had to clean it up. Would definitely come back. Wine tasting and gift shop great.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay. You are located between a busy road and railway tracks, but we parked closer to the rail and let the rumble of trains send us to sleep. Awesome.
The staff in the honey shop were very friendly and helpful.
We bought a t shirt and honey, but by boondockers welcome rules this is not required, unlike Harvest Hosts, when it is.
Highly recommend this place. Lots of great restaurants within a short driving distance.
Turns out we brought the cold & snow with us from Iowa! While the honey market closed early due to the weather we were able to make a few purchases and enjoyed hunkering down in our RV in their safe parking lot!
This stay was perfect.
Easy roads in and out. Large parking area. With loop so no backing up needed.
The property itself is a beautiful small winery/bee farm.
We enjoyed a couple tastings on there patio and bought a large jar of honey.
We w oi uld definitely stop by again.
The Walker Honey Farm / winery / meadery was awesome. We enjoyed both days there, met great fellow traveler, and tried all of their meads and wines! Super cool place.
The Honey Farm has 4 - 5 spots on gravel... but pretty level. No water or Electricity available. The property has a gate they close when the store is closed but they give you the gate code at check in.
The folks in their store are very friendly and not at all pushy. Honey, wine (The Busy Bee Winery) and knick/knacks available. Sites are between a fairly busy highway and a busy train track. We heard trains all day and night but the good news is they do not blow their horns... just the rumble of them down the track.
We would gladly go back again on our way back north.. Jane & Jay
We loved our stay at the Walker Honey Farm. We enjoyed the scenery, especially watching the flocks or birds at dusk! Sampled the wine and honey and was all delicious! Sounds of the highway and the freight train were barely noticeable at night! Thanks for your hospitality!
Nice spacious spots to boondock. Gravel spot was level and plenty of space between RVs. Definitely shop for their honey, the flavored creamed honey is delicious!
I slept well despite the highway and train noise. It was fun to sample their wares.
We enjoyed our stay at this awesome little farm! The store was nice, and we ended up purchasing some honey. Great experience!
We really enjoyed our two nights here. The site was level, the mead was fantastic, and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend. One note, be prepared for lots of trains at night. The noise did not bother us, but it might be and issue for some.
