Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country overlooking Canyon Lake. We are one hour from downtown San Antonio, one hour from downtown Austin and nested amongst too many small towns to mention. Numerous music venues, wineries, distilleries, and craft beer options are within one hour. Grocery stores and a selection of restaurants are a short 5 minute drive away. The towns of Wimberley, San Marcos, and New Braunfels are between 15 and 20 minutes away.
Quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Common courtesies are expected! No aggressive dogs please but your pets are absolutely welcome, must clean up after your pet. Pets cannot be left outside unattended.
The driveway is a long, gradual uphill . A little steep with a bump at the top to divert water. There is a turn around at the top where the parking spur is. It is a little tight so shorter is better! There are overhanging trees so a max height of 12 feet is necessary.
The tow vehicle would park in front of the rig. We have a spur beside our garage for an RV, 5th wheel etc.
We pop out quite frequently in our RV but always reach out to verify! We will always try to accommodate you.
There are too many to mention here! Depending on your preferences, we can provide our favorites or direct you to ones you might enjoy.
We were treated like family by the Stoffels and we are thankful there are such great people like them out there helping us along in our travels. We arrived during an artic blast which included snow and ice and temperatures down to 9 degrees which is extremely stressful if you are towing a trailer or in any large rig. We were brought to tears with their complete offer to help us in any way possible. This helped us so much in knowing things would be ok. We won’t forget this kind of generosity as it sticks with you. They have a beautiful house on the hillside over looking Canyon Lake and where we got to park and boondock was in a large open area in front of the house down the hill. It is a great place to be. We just wish the weather would have cooperated. Thanks again so much.
We loved this area and would loved to have stayed longer or during prime lake season. The Stoffels were very flexible on time and with me working during the day we didn’t get much time to say hi, but we did have a little sliver view of the lake. Would stay again!
This was our first experience with Boondockers welcome and we were overwhelmingly pleased with the experience. The property, the hosts and the experience were all amazing. Very friendly hosts who offered us City water and 30 amp hook up service. The spot for Parking is paved and level as advertised. This could not have been a better stay for us. We are so happy to have met these new friends who we truly enjoyed the evening sunset and deer feeding experience with.
Thanks so much Seeblick getaway and fury friends.
Great space near the garage with power. Private, quiet and great views of hill country and Canyon lake.
What a wonderful place to stay over the holiday so we did not have to be on the road. Serene and beautiful and hosts that could not be more generous. Beautiful sunsets and a parade of gentle deer to watch from their deck that looks out to the lake.
Thank you for the best Christmas gift of sharing your home with us and we hope to pass your way again!
I had a great experience visiting The_Stoffels place. They are very friendly and kind, with beautiful surroundings.
Remarkably smart, fun, interesting people. Sweet dogs. Beautiful home with stunning views. Seeblick Getaway is a place where time passes all too fast.
This is a BW location we hope to visit again. And again. We couldn’t have felt more welcome.
Their driveway is very steep, look out for the speed bump. It’s level on the driveway. Decent connectivity with both AT&T and Verizon.
For any bikers out there, check out the ride to Wimberley over Slime Bridge.
Or ask the Stoffels for suggestions of where to go and what's worthwhile. These are fun people.
BW is asking me a second time for a review! All I can say is this place is awesome and I love these folks!
My hosts were over the top hospitable. I have been on the road for 5 weeks and to make such wonderful connection with such good hearted souls has been a highlight of my trip. I feel like we have known each other for a lifetime. The-Stoffels gave me so many local recommendations of places to see. I wish I had time for it all. I will have those sunsets over Canyon Lake forever in my mind's eye. I miss the pups already. Thank you, thank you for a wonderful stay.
Great place with great hosts!!! I was supposed to stay 2 nights but because of a cold front that week, I decided I would head further south sooner, chilly mornings were not in my plans....loll.
Regretfully I left but not because of the hosts or the location. Great view they have there and they even offered electricity.
I recommend this place to who ever is going further south or in springtime, going further north. Not too far from I-35, it's worth the detour. Loved it!
