Ammon Creek Farm was developed originally as a wedding venue
located on 70 acres in Amelia County, Va.
It has scenic views, a lake for fishing or kayaking, and a peaceful place to enjoy wildlife and nature. Guests are welcome to interact with the owners or use the patio/fireplace area or try their luck at fishing.
Use common sense, enjoy the land and treat it as if it was your own. Always consult with the host before undertaking any of the farm attractions. Children must be strictly supervised.
Road from US460 is single lane. Go slow and be cautious. When arriving at the farm, go past the lake and make a right at the black mailbox if coming by way of Baltimore Rd. If coming by way of Namozine Road, mailbox will be on your left. Discuss parking areas with farm manager before arriving.
Beside driveway or next to Log Cabin depending on weather (rainfall).
We are campers as well so call before hand to insure availability. Most winters we are not at the farm, however, you can stay at the Coleman House property alternatively if you make arrangements.
Civil war battlefield parks, Ft Picket military base for riding bikes, Freckles and Friends petting zoo/ farm, and Phoenix Lake scuba club.
Large, quiet, country setting with two small ponds which we enjoyed walking around. Lots of birds, friendly dogs, and exceptionally gracious hosts. Enjoyed a fire and great conversation with the hosts on their back deck. Highly recommend this location if you are in the area.
As their listed property wasn’t available, our kind hosts offered an alternative spot for us to boondock. We were pleased with the great communication, connection, and creative thinking of our hosts.
