Leave a reference for this hostWe are only 10 minutes off of I-95 in Wilmington Delaware. Perfect for an overnight on the way through the area. Quiet and safe neighborhood. No streetlights so nice and dark for sleeping.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our backyard. We have a deck with lighting. Use your chairs or ours. No option of wood fires but we have a portable propane fire that we use when we are on the road. Yard is fenced and available for off leash pets.
Have 20 amp electric on a dedicated circuit just for the RV.
Leave it as you found it. Keep things clean. Be courteous to our neighbors and respectful of their right for quiet at night. Running a generator not permitted but shouldn't be necessary with the available electric hook up.
If your dog uses the yard, please pick up after it.
We are in a subdivision with relatively wide streets. We regularly have our 40' diesel pusher at the property and have no difficulty with any turns or street width. There are a few trees with low hanging branches on some streets but we can give directions to avoid them.
The driveway is not perfectly level. It is level side to side but has a slight slope down from the house to the street. Trailers would have an easy time leveling. I can get my 40' DP almost level but not completely.
Trailers would need to back into the driveway. Class A / B / C could park in either direction.
Have a two car driveway. One spot for the RV, one for the tow vehicle right next to your rig. We would have our cars on the street, making the whole driveway available.
We are within 30 minutes of several attractions. The Brandywine Battlefield, Historic New Castle, Hagley Museum, Delaware Museum of Art, Delaware Museum of Natural History, Winterthur. Longwood Gardens is a stunning arboretum. Brandywine Creek State Park has great day hiking. Wilmington Riverfront has upscale shopping and dining.
This was our first BW experience and we could not have been more thankful. We had some delays on the way down, kept in regular contact and B2D was super flexible and accommodating. We arrived later than hoped, but were greeted with warmth and willingness to help set up. Sadly we learned I had a short in my electrical system, but it was B2D that did the diagnostic, replaced a part on my rig and offered alternative solutions for the night. All from their driveway/garage/RV warehouse! The neighborhood was quiet and safe, driveway was flat and cleared of snow and the backyard was greatly appreciated by our dog. We enjoyed a good nights sleep and would recommend this location and the hosts to others. Thank you Bound2Discover!!
We had a lovely stay at Bound2Discover. What a nice couple! They came out to help us set up. It is a quiet neighborhood and our hosts were so accommodating. Our dog was given the run of their fenced backyard and we enjoyed chatting about RV adventures. It is a really great place for a good night’s rest. Thanks so much!
