We live in the City Fairfield which is almost exactly half way between the city of San Francisco and our state capitol Sacramento on the Interstate 80 corridor. We are 30 minute drive to Napa Valley and 50 miles to the City of San Francisco about 1 hour depending on time of day. Our main tourist attraction in Fairfield is the Jelly Belly candy company. We also have two beautiful golf courses in town.

A terrific place to stay! Host is super responsive and kind. Spot is a pull-through on gravel. We didn't use power or water, but connections were right next to site. I just regret we couldn't chat more with the host due to COVID restrictions. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay! Thank you to the host for his amazing hospitality!
We loved our stay at Bay Area Bliss! Our host was very accommodating, and had us park near his storage area so we would be on gravel (not dirt) when it rained. It allowed me to complete a solar modification that was on the to do list. We will definitely come back when we are in the north Bay Area!
Thanks, California Dreamers!!
We can’t say enough about this stay- just the nicest and most helpful folks around. Beautiful level spot, nice open area, easy to access (40 ft. Class A and toad) and electric and water access was a true bonus! Thank you!!
Quiet location on the country edge of Fairfield. We needed to be in the Oakland Hills the next day and this was a perfect place to wait for the morning Rush Hour to be over. The Host has 5 acres of land so you can either Boon Dock or utilize the water and 30 Amp hook-up on the side of his shop. Great field for our dog to run around and burn off some energy.
We will stay again.
Soooo nice to finally park on a flat surface! It's been a while. When we arrived there were 2 other boondockers and we still had plenty of room to social distance. We stayed in the large lot behind the house and had great solar. It was a wonderful location for visiting the North or East Bay areas around San Francisco/ Oakland, CA. Host was very responsive to messages and we enjoyed talking solar with him and his friend one afternoon. The right turn coming out of the back area was a little bit tight, but manageable for our 55 feet (dully+40 foot 5th wheel). The dump he recommended nearby worked well for us. Thanks for the enjoyable stay!
The host was very accommodating. We were dry camping but offered to charge portable battery packs in his shed. The location was ideal for our needs. Good southern exposure for solar. Pleasant conversation about RV travel and BW in general.
Spot looks on an open acre, perfect to walk my dogs. 30 amp hookup, plus water!! The hosts are the best, very helpful. They even baked me a delicious ginger cake!!!
Such a great place to rest for a couple of days! The host was incredibly nice and even provided a print out with local resources like laundry and the dump station. So helpful! There was a lot of space and it was a quiet area.
Thanks for sharing your space with us!
I stayed there to be close to a veterinary hospital as my little dog is giving birth for the first time. They were very flexible about how many days as I waited for her to give birth.
This was one of the best stays with Boondockers yet. Great pull through access provided and room for multiple rigs. Host provided a reference sheet with local dump station, medical clinics, Vets, local attractions, etc which is great and something we hadn’t seen before during boondockers stays. Bay Area Bliss is a great area to stay to explore San Francisco and Napa Valley. We visited both along with the Jelly Belly factory that has a nice tour. We would definitely stay again if back in the area.
CaliforniaDreamer is a great host and has a very nice, level site w/ electric & water. We drove up at twilight and it was such a help to see some signs directing us where to pull in. Large level site that's just 30 min from Napa. Knowing we would spend the day in Napa, our hos let us know that we would be welcome to spend an extra night and we were grateful to take him up on the offer.
If we come back this way, we'll definitely stay here again.
Boondockers Welcome is fortunate to have this outstanding host! I enjoyed having a lovely conversation and felt indeed “welcome”. I have a 35’ Class A with a toad, and the spot was easy to get into and exit, without having to unhook, which made my one night stay even better. I would have enjoyed staying longer, and hope to be able to see more of the area on another trip. Highly recommend!!
Great new location to stay. California Dreamers has been a wonderful host & I know this is going to be a great addition to BW.
I had the good fortune to be the first BW guest (me & the dog) at a new location in Fairfield CA, Bay Area Bliss. It is centrally located between Sacramento & San Francisco. A wonderfully spacious area behind the house. Of course #rhodie_dog & I like to hang out with the goat family across the road. When was the last time you laid down in the grass & did nothing? Highly recommended activity 😎. I hope to come back again.
