There are a few restaurants, groceries, shops, and a little museum within walking distance, including the Rail Trail leading down to Echo Lake. The advantage of this location is its easy access to I-80 for travelers passing thru on a long haul. We live here for the great skiing and hiking, golfing and biking, fishing and kayaking. All of these activities are within 30 minutes (or less), including historic Park City, UT.

Semi-retired cross-border RVers Details: We are semi-retired after a 30 year career building custom single-family homes in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. We spend the warm months living in our mountain home, just 25 minutes from Park City Utah, and the winter months "glamping" in Baja California Sur. If you are driving I-80, our circular drive makes a convenient spot to pull over for the night. Located on a dead end street, it’s a quiet neighborhood. Max stay 2 nights. Sometimes the most nomadic of our brood climbs on board for a journey. Our adult daughter lives a nomadic lifestyle, working seasonal jobs and traveling the world (until recent events stopped her from crossing borders). She's a terrific companion! COVID COMPLIANCE: We practice recommended safety guidelines for COVID and are fully vaccinated. Home Town: Coalville is a small, fairly typical Utah city, located on the edge of Echo Lake. Our Main St hosts all the necessities including the Summit Mercantile, a must visit general store in its original shell. It maintains a great meat counter and produce aisle, especially for a small town. "If the Merc doesn't have it, you don't need it," is what we say here. You'll find a couple restaurants and a Subway, too. Just a mile wide and 4 miles long, with a population under 1600, the town's Victorian mining history is apparent in preservation efforts. Coalville City is the Summit County seat and also boasts the County Building, with a small one room museum inside. Skills or Expertise to Share: Other than extensive local knowledge and vast construction skills, should someone require aid, we will of course do whatever we can to assist.

Great night sleep. Very quiet street. Thank you for opening your property to take a break on our long trip from Tahoe to Wisconsin!

I had an absolutely wonderful and peaceful stay. My hosts were extremely welcoming and had a nice guidebook for the area, they shared some produce from their garden with me as well!

Laura was a great host! I enjoyed the book she had on a table outside my rig, for Boondockers Welcome, it had interesting local facts, and a pack of salt mined from Utah. Thanks! And the cute town was within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Nice quiet place in a quiet little town 2 miles from the highway. They prepared a guestbook with useful information.

This HH is a perfect stopover for those wanting a quieter stopover. The host greeted me and showed me a nice walking trail. I did a short walk to town looking for a bite to eat. Although Angie's pizza was closed and cleaning up, the wonderful opened up for me and made me a pizza. That's small town kindness for you.
