Our farm is located just outside of London, with easy access to the 401 (15 minutes). We are full time farmers - having said that you need to know that we have animals on our farm and there are the usual smells and noises that can accompany that from time to time! We enjoy travelling and look forward to hosting fellow travellers! We prefer no pets but that can be discussed on a per situation basis. Absolutely no access to our farm buildings- no exceptions please.
No smoking on the property
Late arrivals can be discussed
No admittance to farm buildings- barns, driveshed
We have a medium length gravel driveway. Lots of room to maneuver in the yard. Motorhome parking is either on grass or gravel.
The yard is large with lots of gravel parking for tow vehicles.
We work from home so are available most of the time- arrival and departure times are pretty flexible.
Fanshawe cycling/hiking trails. Close to Western University and Fanshawe College.
We stayed at the farm for two nights, and enjoyed the great company, stories and laughter around the fire pit. Our host was very accommodating from the moment we arrived until we left.
Thank you for letting us staying at your farm - we would love to come back.
An osprey nested on the silage tower!
We parked between a firepit and the shed. Electricity was provided on the shed.
We would suggest voyagers consider placing the sleeping quarters toward the field, away from the barn light.
Had a nice chat with our host in the morning. Thank you again for providing us a place to boondock.
Hosts were friendly and accommodating. The RV spot was very easy to park and access for my travel trailer and pull vehicle. The location is well maintained grassy space between the home and farm along the driveway with a good breeze through it. There are a couple large trees for shade and a fire pit. It is a working pig farm, so there will be occasional equipment running. It is just outside a small village with groceries, hardware store and community center. There was 15amp service right next to the location and WiFi which allowed me to successfully telecommute during the day. Also 15-20 min to london. Enjoyed the location, hosts, and the experience.
Connie and Mike were terrific hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats and to learn a little about life on the farm. Connie even sent us a brief video re where exactly to park on the property as she wasn’t able to be there to greet us. The location was perfect for us to visit our family in London, a brief 30 mins drive away. For our first Boondockers experience it couldn’t have been better. Thank you Connie & Mike, hope to see you again!
Upon our arrival, out hosts holped us get parked and settled in a shaded area just to the rear of their house. They live on a quiet farm about a 15 minute drive north of Hwy 401. It was a pleasure to drive the country roads after travelling the hectic pace of heavy traffic. We had an enjoyable time sharing RV stories, and finding that we had some life experiences in common. The friendliness that we experienced was refreshing. This should be a Boondocking location for your serious consideration.
Thank you so much for hosting us. We felt really valued and our kids had an amazing time! We were quite sad we had to leave… I really hope we'll see each other again really soon.
Although weather wasnt the greatest, we enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very gracious and helpful. They shared a few local tips that planned out well!
Will be back again!
