We live in an area w one acre lots w loose restrictions. We have a flat level spot w 15 amp in front of our property which is pull in and out.
We have another spot further back on property w 50 amp service and water. Both can accommodate larger rigs if you are a good at driving and parking said rigs. Please arrive before dark no street lights. We are fully vaccinated so don’t wear masks. Would love to visit w you in our garden.
Clean up after yourselves of course. No
BBQ as ABQ is a very dry city. Appreciate it if you would text us just before arriving so we can look for you. If we don’t text you back upon arrival ring bell at front door.
If you’d like a quick in and out we have a gravel area in front of our property. Our street is a dead end With a circle turn around at end of the street for the small or large rigs. Gravel is hard packed and firm for leveling jacks or pads.
All paved roads. Boondock location is pull thru with possible electrical hookup on gravel. No
Low hanging trees plenty of room to turn around. Ez in and out.
With your rig
We seem to have ended up being very popular
So cannot always accommodate everyone. Wish there were more spots in Albuquerque.
Museums, Zoo, Casinos, Balloons, 1hr from Santa Fe. Many of our normal State venues are currently shut down due to Covid and Restaurants are at 25% occupancy. We don’t like it either 😰 but it is what it is. No one wants to be ill.
Had a great stay, hosts were helpful and friendly.
We had a wonderful stay at Neil2mao!. Great conversation and really enjoyed discussing our common firefighting interests and seeing Neil's fire engine restoration projects. A great, safe and comfortable place to stay. Thank you!
Wonderful hosts. Enjoyed getting to know them over lunch. Great place to park in a very nice neighborhood. We visited Old Town and the Nuclear Museum. Highly recommend.
Fireside rest is a fantastic location. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. Beyond level parking and such, the views are incredible. Would recommend to anyone passing thru ABQ.
Neil & Mary were simply the best hosts imaginable! They made us feel like family, and their home and property is set up beautifully for RVing guests! They have 2 long, level, gravel driveways, each of which could probably accommodate 2 or 3 RVs!
We had a bit of a snafu the day before and they even let us stay an extra night so we would have more time to see a bit of Albuquerque. As RVers themselves, they completely understood the issues we had had, and were sympathetic and understanding! We definitely want to come back through Albuquerque again, and hope we can stay with them again! They were awesome!
If I were rating stars, I'd give them a perfect 10!!
We so enjoyed our stay with these friendly and welcoming hosts. Had some great conversation over some delicious pie and ice cream one night. Great suggestions on things to do in the area also.
Our first stay with Boondockers Welcome. We must be doing this snowbird thing wrong because we found ourselves driving our trailer through Albuquerque
on a snowy evening. Fireside Rest provided a safe place to rest for our family after an extended travel day. Our hosts were very flexible even when our arrival time became later than expected. Our host even came to meet us in the road (in the dark, in the snow, mind you) and helped us back in to the driveway. There were electric hookups with a small donation requested if used. The neighborhood was beautiful and if we were to have stayed longer, we would have loved to take a stroll through.
Thank you again, safe travels, and God bless!
We are so grateful to have been able to stay here in Albuquerque. Our hosts were very sweet to take time to chat with us. I appreciate when people will take the time and patience to converse with my social little boys. I highly recommend this location. We got a warm welcome when we arrived. Our children enjoyed the fresh homemade cookies our host had waiting for them! We are extremely grateful!
So grateful for these hosts who continued to welcome others who share their love of travel. They offer a beautiful place in a quiet area where a good night's rest is a gift.
A beautiful Garden, but due to the time of year in November, it was not in its glorious stage. But one only had to imagine it in your mind's eye to know what beauty it held.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home. Albuquerque is dear to me and one reason is the people who live there. Loved the antique vehicles!
Hope to get to know you better in the future.
Thank you so much again.
What a lovely couple. I passed by the house at first and Neil2mao came out to the street and called to guide me back to her home. After a warm greeting and chat at a social distance I was made comfortable in a level driveway with electric provided. It's a nice walking neighborhood for a bit of exercise to stretch the legs. Next trip to Albuquerque, I hope to stay with them again and share more RVing stories.
This was my first Boondocker's Welcome stay and I was blown away by @Neil2mao's hospitality. Not only did they help us get settled in, but they brought us cookies, and gave us recommendations on what to do while we were there. They live in a beautiful neighborhood with views of mountains. Would definitely recommend this place!
We had the most wonderful time with these hosts.
She gave us cookies upon our arrival, they were delicious!
We got to see their antique cars they are rebuilding and they gave us a ride in a 1920 Firetruck (and we did it socially distanced and with masks).
It was absolutely so fun.
They invited us to enjoy their garden in their backyard and the kids and I had a lovely time chatting in such a beautiful place.
They are fabulous guests and I hope we can cross paths again when the pandemic is better. Wonderful people
The spot is lovely with a view of the mountain! Our hosts were kind and amiable and have a lovely garden oasis that they were willing to share! There were also quick to respond to our request to stay with only a few hours notice. Close to the city but not in it, the location is perfect. Thank you!
The beautiful location near the base of Sandia Mountain could only be outdone by the warm hospitality of the generous and helpful hosts. Highly recommend.
We only got to chat with our host for a moment as our schedules allowed, but were welcomed and given great directions ahead of time to get to their home. We hope to pass thru again sometime, hopefully with a little more time to socialize.
We could not have had a more enjoyable time in Albuquerque. The hosts are warm and welcoming, providing full hookups, including Wi-Fi, if desired. I highly recommend this amazing spot.
We arrived later than expected and the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They were so welcoming to us and our children. We enjoyed talking to them so much while the kids played in their beautiful garden. They are located right at the base of the mountain in a safe neighborhood. We are so incredibly grateful to get to stay here. Thank you to our hosts so much for all your kindness!
My entire family had a wonderful time at Fireside Rest. I think the kids will say this was one of the highlights of their trip. Great people and very accommodating. We loved this site!!!
