This lot is almost all grass however, in the past it has been used for overflow parking so it has a firm base of gravel. This makes the lot firm even on rainy days. The area is level and spacious. We are a church and love to welcome new people to the area! Please feel free to join us for worship on Sunday.
We are a church and exist to share how Jesus makes life worth living. The host who greets you will take about ten minutes to tell you how Jesus has changed his/her life, then show you around the site and give you the welcome pack that outlines things to do in the area and boondocking rules which include:
* No generators after 10 pm
* No alcohol in public
* Clean up your site when you leave (including butts)
* Pick up after your pets.
* Respect other Boondockers and our neighbors.
* Quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am
* Relax, Refresh, Rejoice
Access to the lot is paved and easy access. Any size rig will have no problem coming or going.
You may park next to your rig or across the street in the church parking lot. The entire area around your rig is solid so you do not need to worry about becoming stuck.
London offers many attractions that are pay-to-play and free. Things you will enjoy during your stay include A brand new 18 hole Disc Golf Course (its a really good one), Dog Park, Wellness Park, High Ropes Course, Mountain Bike Trail, Sheltowee Trace Trail, Many small waterfall hikes in Daniel Boone National Forest, Cumberland Falls, Harland Sanders Cafe and Museum, Public Pool and several Splash Pads.
Nice and quiet
We appreciate the spot and would recommend.
Took a walk around the church parking lot.
We had such a wonderful stay here and I highly recommend stopping by this beautiful location!!
Well, we didn't do much in London, KY due to the weather upon arrival, but Dan and his wife were extremely kind and helpful, got me out of a jam twice with a jumpstart, and were considerate enough to offer to extend our stay. It was the perfect place to get caught up on sleep, organize the RV, and figure out our next move. We'll have to explore the beautiful terrain another time when it's warm. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Was the perfect place. Served our needs perfectly and it’s always a joy to meet brothers in Christ!
Our stay here was amazing! The location was great as it's across the street from a church in a field. You feel safe as you are far enough from any major distractions, but close enough to great restaurants and grocery stores. Our host made sure to welcome us as well as provide us with travel information which we greatly appreciated. If you have the opportunity, we also recommend attending the church service as you will meet some nice and welcoming people. We would definitely return!
Pastor Dan was friendly warm and welcoming. He even proved himself to be an expert RVer himself in assisting us when we were delayed due to a battery issue. Thank you Corinth Baptist Church for your kind hospitality. Hope to see you again!
We were very blessed to stay at Wing and a Prayer. The parking was easy. Being able to stay for five nights allowed us to attend church across the street from the parking site. Since we were very busy during our stay, we didn't get a chance to get to know this sweet couple. We would highly recommend Wing and a Prayer to anyone traveling through southern KY off of Rye. 75.
It was very friendly and comfortable stay. The. Hosts are wonderful, kind and friendly people. In addition, you can join them for service, as their church is across the street. I would recommend it. Thank you
I encountered some issues and needed to stay another night and was really fortunate to be in such a nice safe location. Eubie137 welcomed me upon arrival to make sure I was comfortable.
When I encountered some RV issues he assured me it was no problem and offered to help me out in any way possible. It's a nice feeling to have such hospitality when traveling.
Absolutely and positively I will stay here again when I'm in the area.
We were warmly greeted by the host and a church member upon arrival. We had a nice conversation and they even gave us brochures and a Bible. We had several other conversations with the host and his wife - enjoyed them both so much.
The town has a nice, welcoming feel to it. We readily felt comfortable and easily found our way around.
We stayed 4 nights here. We used London as our home base for various day trips. There are so many things to do! There is a nice tourist center in town - same parking lot as the RV dump station.
I recommend attending the church service/Sunday school if staying on a Sunday. Both were meaningful and enjoyable. A beautiful sanctuary.
The camping spot is on a grass field across the street from the church. There’s plenty of privacy and a wide open feel/view. I sat outside one night to watch the orange harvest moon rising.
We hope to return to this area and will be staying again.
The host was very accommodating, shared the Word with us and we were pleased to meet him. Nice and flat with plenty of room.
If you are a Christian, you have family here! If not, why not join the family of God?
Host was very nice & friendly. Visited with use & showed us a map of were the dump station was & also local restaurants. Enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you & we’re hoping to visit London Kentucky again.
We loved staying at Wing and a Prayer! The host and his son greeted us with bro hires of all the local attractions and showed us where to park. We parked in the field right off the road, which was gravel under the grass, so very solid and level. We visited the Ark and museum while there and hiked at Cumberland Falls. He left us a bible on the steps when we returned, which was very nice! We’ll be back and plan next trip to arrive on a Saturday so we can attend service on Sunday. Highly recommended!
Meadow view was lovely..it was just an overnight stay for us, but we appreciated the hospitality!! Hope to stop again in the future to meet the pastor!
