It is a level dirt pad just off the paved road. Our property is a bit overgrown with trees and a couple bushes (purposely, both for the habitat and my personal aesthetics.) You can run an extension cord from our porch- you’ll need about 60 ft. We have a water spigot available on the other side of the house you’re welcome to, it’s just not very convenient for you to access as it’s further than I care to carry water. You can use your bbq or set up your chairs, but I prefer you bring them into the yard rather than set up right next to your rig. The rv spot is right next to my neighbors property, and close to the road so I’d prefer outside activities in away from the road and neighbors. Suggested Local Attractions:This is small town Arizona. About an hours drive up to Mount Graham has some very pretty views and fishing at Riggs lake. Roper lake and Dankworth Pond are just 10-15 minutes away. Hot dunes recreation area 45 minutes away. There are also a couple hidden gems, such as Cluff ponds (free, has a small boat launch, good swimming, 30 minute drive) Red Knolls (a very interesting land formation- it has a couple mini caves/crevasses to explore, or you can hike up to the top for the view. It’s basically an isolated Mesa with many cool cliffs and a fun little hike. 30 minute drive.)

House Rules
No smoking on the property. Children are totally welcome. We have small kids who may chatter your ear off, so take that in account too. Please don’t run a generator, fuel fumes bother me. Please keep any pets away from the neighbors property- they’re welcome off leash on mine. I have a mid sized dog and two indoor/outdoor cats so if your dog is a chaser keep it on leash.
Location
Access Road Conditions: The road is pretty narrow, but there is space to cut a corner as you pull in and the road is not busy, so if you need to do a couple point turns to get out, you won’t be holding up traffic or anything. My 25 foot rig can pull in and out with no problems and no extra turns. There is a couple feet of overhanging tree, but it is just the branch ends, no large stiff limbs to worry about. My rig scapes the branches but has sustained no damage.

Wilderness Family Details: We’re a little family who loves to travel and camp. Mom, Dad, 3 little boys and a little girl. We channel the wilderness in our landscaping a bit too, lots of trees and bushes so the kids can make their forts. Home Town: Thatcher AZ. A small rural community in south east Arizona. Cooler than Phoenix, but still plenty of that Arizona heat. Near mountains, a small lake, and a couple nice recreation areas also.

My stay changed by a day early and the host quickly responded that they could accommodate our stay. Plug in power was great to have for our quick charge up of electronics. We slept soundly and left relatively early- quick but nice stay.

Unfortunately our host family was ill and so was my husband so that made our visit somewhat barren. No problem finding the location and very handy to gas and groceries.
