We are located near downtown Vancouver in one of the oldest neighborhoods. It is a great neighborhood that is within walking distance of many great restaurants, bars, and breweries. The waterfront area of Vancouver is about 2 miles from our house. If you are interested in visiting Portland, we are about 15-20 minutes from downtown Portland.

We just got back from a long RV trip around most of the US and we are still getting our house back to normal, but we have a nice sitting area out front and can pull out our propane or wood fire pit for fun get together.

House Rules

* No smoking on property.
* No generators. (We will provide a 15 amp circuit for charging batteries and running minor stuff)
* Children allowed if supervised.
* We are in a neighborhood so quietness is important after 8-9pm especially on weeknights.
* I am sure there are others, but common courtesy should cover most stuff :)

Access Road Conditions

City streets in a nice maple-lined street negihborhood. There is a maple tree directly above you but we have had the canopy raised so our travel trailer can fit under it.

Single car width driveway.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

Currently our trailer is in the driveway so we can accommodate a small trailer (< 20') or a sprinter-type van. There is plenty of room on the street for the tow vehicle.

Suggested Local Attractions

Lots to do around depending on your preference - city stuff plus tons of scenic areas with hiking, biking, and water sports around. Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and the coast are all with 2 hours of our house, with the gorge only being 45 minutes away.

Such great hospitality

Communication was excellent and the host went out of her way to make sure we had whatever was needed. But the frosting on the cake (literally) was those delicious cupcakes!! Thanks so much!

Great hosts! Enjoyed our stay!

The Couv is a nice well shaded residential area not too far from downtown Portland (~20min w/o traffic)

The family is friendly, communicative and welcoming. We appreciate all the recommendations during our Portland visit.

We stayed for 2 nights; felt safe, and comfortable. Would
Recommend staying here.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our time visiting with our hosts at The 'Couv. Their location is very relaxing and we took advantage of their recommendations for places to go in Vancouver.

We would definitely try to return of we're in the area again!

Wonderful stay!

I was having issues with my brand new camper and was greeted so warmly and allowed to stay while working out the kinks - this is a lovely neighborhood! Peaceful and full of friendly neighbors. We enjoyed a fun evening too with the propane fire pit and great conversation…thank you for your generosity!

Perfect stay

What an incredible stay. Our hosts were beyond accommodating and kind throughout our visit and we felt very safe and comfortable here. Really great location and it allowed us to walk to town and enjoy the restaurants. We can’t say enough how wonderful this is was and we are so happy to have made some new friends! This was by far our best boondockers welcome experience and we are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you!

This was our second visit. We're so grateful for the restful stay in such a lovely neighborhood. We didn't need to level and appreciated the kind offer of water and the extension cord to keep our batteries charged.

Best stay yet!

We’ve had a lot of great stays while using boondockers welcomed but staying at the ‘Couv was one of our favorite stays yet. The area is great and the hosts are even better! Hope to cross paths with them again some day

The ‘Couv!

Loved staying here for a few days! Had the driveway to myself and plenty of room for my rig. The neighborhood is very nice and within walking distance to downtown Vancouver for coffee, food, and other things. Short distance to Portland if you needed something there! Felt very safe staying here and the family made sure I didn’t need anything! Overall a great experience at the ‘Couv

Kind, hospitable hosts close to Portland

Very kind and responsive hosts with a lovely house, minutes from downtown Portland. They were accommodating for my last minute request and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Absolutely would recommend and can’t wait to stay again!
