We know it's different strokes for different folks. If you'd prefer a quiet evening to yourselves, that's perfectly understandable. If you'd like to ask questions about the area or just visit, we're happy to do that, too--weather permitting and at a safe distance for all of us. Please understand we're pretty strict about social distancing because we're looking out for B's mom. You have your choice of two spots. Both are on blacktop and both require some maneuvering and reversing. (We'll only host one unit at a time, so you can actually decide which spot you want after you arrive, if you prefer.) If you choose the first spot, you'll pull up into the driveway, back into the turn-around, pull forward to straighten up, then reverse approximately 50 feet. The spot is fairly level, though some minor leveling might be desired. (Many boondockers don't even disconnect their rig from their tow vehicle.) You'll be facing forward for departure. You'll also enjoy good shade from mature trees in this spot, except when the sun is directly overhead. This spot is approximately 250 feet from the road that will have light traffic all throughout the night. 30-amp ELECTRIC IS AVAILABLE at this spot. WATER IS ALSO AVAILABLE, but you'll need approximately 50 feet of hose to connect. If you choose the second spot, you'll pull up into the driveway and then back into the turn-around. The spot is fairly level, though some leveling will be required. You'll be facing forward for departure. There is very little shade in the second spot. It's approximately 200 feet from the road that will have light traffic all throughout the night. NO WATER OR ELECTRIC is available at this spot. Please note: We live at the end of a small airport runway. Some planes may take off or arrive, mostly personal aircraft. Medical helicopters also use this airport and may take off or land during the night. A fenced DOG AREA IS AVAILABLE. Please pick up after your dog(s) and NEVER leave them unattended. Please use a leash between your camper and the fenced area as there are dogs (friendly!) next door who sometimes escape. Another note: If a guest is a licensed ham radio operator, a connection for HF antennas is available. As a rule, available antennas include 80/40 meters and usually something for 20 meters. The connection point is 30 feet from spot #1. Please give advance notice if you intend to make use of the antennas. If you have any questions about the antennas, feel free to message us. Suggested Local Attractions:5 minutes from Levi Jackson Wilderness Road Park (formerly a state park) for walking paths, mini golf, reproduction watermill, small historic museum, picnic areas, Treetop Adventure (zip lines, rope bridges, etc.), and 5.5 mile mountain bike trail. (Some attractions may not currently be open.) 30 minutes from Laurel River Lake. 45 minutes from Cumberland Falls.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Located approximately 3 miles from I-75. The last 1.75 miles is on a rural two-lane road with typical widths, (lack of) shoulders, ditches, etc. However, RVs, school busses, and semis travel the road routinely. Just go slowly. Please be sure to follow the directions we give you as the shortest distance by GPS isn't always the best. If you're comfortable towing a vehicle on a road like this (we do), our driveway is long enough and level enough to disconnect after you turn in. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Plenty of room to park, either on grass (weather permitting) or blacktop.

Retired couple happy to host others--from 6 feet away. Details: We're a retired couple in our seventh year of camping. While we've camped mostly in Kentucky with a few trips to nearby states, we're hoping to venture farther away from home (as soon as the pandemic allows!) and take advantage of Boondockers Welcome locations. B enjoys training black Lab Floyd, ham radios, mountain biking, and photography. P likes sewing, reading, baking, playing Mah Jongg, and planning more trips. Home Town: Native Kentuckians Skills or Expertise to Share: B can answer questions about photography, computers, electronics, amateur radio, and bicycles. P can recommend a good book or places to shop. :) Both of us can recommend things to see and do while in the area.

Great Host. Communication was quick and we really appreciated all the local info! The airport traffic was uneventful while we were there. Not a problem for us. B & P were very available and yet we had plenty of privacy! Location is also close to I 75, and London is a nice little town. Would love to stay again.

Gracious and generous hosts. What a way to start our travels. They cared that our experience was positive, they were generous with their space and time and I can only describe that they feel hosting is a "calling". Thankyou, thankyou
