We are located close to town (1 mile walk) but you feel secluded. Our property is a pasture with mountains in the backdrop. It's great to wake up to such amazing views or stay up late to star gaze. You can walk or drive to town for dining, shopping, etc. We are located 10 minutes from the Chattooga River, where whitewater rafting is a must. There is also tons of hiking, waterfalls, lakes, and mountain views all around this area.
We live in a tiny house on the property and you will be parking in our driveway. We also convert vans into campervans here.
*No smoking on property
*Quiet hours after 9:00pm
*Please ask before having visitors.
We are a short distance on a gravel driveway. We've cut the low hanging limbs to allow access to our drive.
We also AirBnB the tiny house on the property. When the house is rented, this locations is unavailable. We try to keep the calendar up to date.
Tallulah Gorge State Park, Black Rock State Park, Moccasin Creek State Park, Lake Burton, Lake Rabun, LOTS of waterfalls, Chattooga River rafting with Southeastern Expeditions

A wonderful place to park for the night after hiking in the mountains. Simple to find and a beautiful property. We really enjoyed the plentiful stars.
Thanks Dolly for the great stay!
Although we didn’t get to meet, there were no problems with this location. Clear parking instructions and a nice view.
Though we didn't get to spend time with dolly.the.rambler, we did enjoy a lovely evening on their quiet property with lovely views — and so close to downtown. dolly.the.rambler were kind and generous hosts, very responsive via text, and were helpful, too, with food and hike suggestions. Thanks again for a great stay!
The Rambler’s Retreat was fantastic! The host were so gracious and communicated with me the whole time. Very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. I’ll be back.
Truly a gorgeous spot nestled in the mountains. It rained most of the time I was there but I felt lucky because it was during hurricane zeta and everywhere took a beating from the high winds. Power was out in the mountains all the way to Atlanta and lines down storage units toppled over etc. so I felt blessed to have been protected by the mountains or my RV May not be here anymore. Thank you to the kind hosts who were super sweet to me. I hope to get to visit the area again sometime when it's sunny. Thanks again!
