Although our location is considered part of Ottawa, we live southwest of Ottawa proper in a small subdivision of the National Capital Region (NCR) called Barrhaven. Bus/train service is widely available to take you to all tourist areas within the NCR (I used to take the bus into downtown Ottawa on a daily basis for work). We live in a quiet neighborhood and are very close to bike and walking paths. We are within a 15 min walk to a large shopping area called Chapman Mills Marketplace - with large stores such as Walmart, Loblaws, Your Independent Grocer and numerous other smaller amenities and stores, along with a variety of restaurants (both fast take out and mid-range). We are a 10 min walk to a smaller shopping area with a Canadian Tire and Farm Boy grocery store and other amenities/restaurants/shops. We have a nice backyard you are welcome to use to relax and BBQ at your leisure. House Rules
Please arrive before dark (or let me know as much in advance as possible if you will arrive after dark). If smoking outside your rig, do not throw butts on the ground. Quiet, well behaved pets only - must be on leash when outside rig. Clean up after your pets. Quiet hours after 9 pm (we are very close to our neighbours). No running generators or A/C. Be respectful and quiet.

Access Road Conditions: We live in an urban development with paved roads with a short double car driveway. Homes are very close. Driveway is short with a greater than 3% grade. There are no low hanging branches. My Class B is parked on one side of the driveway and I use the other side to park my 2nd vehicle (car) or access the garage. However, during your stay, there is some additional room where I can park my car so you can park in front of the garage safely. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Unfortunately, there is no tow parking availability. There is no overnight parking permitted on the streets.

Details: We live in Ottawa, Ontario. I am semi-retired after 31 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Health Care Administrator. I currently work part-time in the Reserves. My work has taken me all over the world. Home Town: I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, but have lived across Canada and in Germany and the United Kingdom. RV Travel: We have been part of the RV community since 2108. We took an extensive road-trip from Ontario to BC for 5-weeks in the summer of 2019 and absolutely loved it! After having been postponed for two years, we took a similar trip to the East Coast of Canada in 2022 and it was also an amazing adventure. During the first two summers of COVID, we explored Ontario but, as many attractions and places were closed due to COVID, the trips were relatively quiet. During 2023, we took shorter trips, with noteworthy memories of NYC and Quebec City. We are eager to explore more of the USA.
