We are under five miles off I-75 and US 441. We are near Micanopy, which is a quaint town with antique and other types of shops.
No smoking on property. Children must be behaved and supervised. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash, but you are responsible if they run off, as our property is not fenced. No barking dogs. No loud music. We will discuss individual needs when you reserve.
We are off a hard road, but our drive is gravel. We have a long driveway and you will need to be able to maneuver to either back in to the spot or back out of the spot. The concrete driveway can accommodate up to a 35 foot long RV or, for longer rigs, we have grass parking in front of our trailer or in the field.
You will need to unhook your tow vehicle, but parking is available on the grass.
We are about five miles from the quaint town of Micanopy, which was the setting for Doc Hollywood. We are within thirty minutes of Ocala and twenty minutes from Gainesville. There are great roads around for biking in the country and we are fifteen minutes from the Hawthorne Trail. Within an hour dive are different springs or rivers for water adventures. We are on the northern side of Ocala horse country and about twenty minutes from HITS and the World Equestrian Center. We are twenty minutes from the University of Florida campus and the UF Health and Shands Hospitals, as well as the VA Hospital. Ocala and Gainesville have many different performing arts and sports venues and there is easy access to all of the University of Florida sports fields. Come join us on Gator Football weekends!
We stayed at Heaven Hill for three nights. We rode bike trails for two days and just relaxed and enjoyed the area nearby the other day. It was amazing to visit with CampingGator and see how much they had done to their wonderful home and hear about some of their hobbies.
Since we visited during the middle of the week, we didn’t get to visit with them very much as they were at work during the day. We really enjoyed our time spent at Heaven Hill!
Thank you for hosting!
Very nice place nestled in a stand of mature pine trees. Nice and quiet. Had a chance to sit and talk with our hosts the one evening that we stayed which was both easy and a pleasant. Would love to stay there again.
this host was so accommodating to our needs and our very large 5th wheel. We were welcomed so warmly and felt at home the moment we got there. Visiting with the hosts and touring their beautiful home was a bonus. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!
Heaven Hill is a truly amazing place! Such hospitable hosts with the most awesome property imaginable. What a fantastic house they have built here! We were amazed that they had built the house themselves and we had so many questions about how that happened. Their property is a slice of heaven so they certainly chose an appropriate name. The views from the house are just beautiful. They justifiably take tremendous pride in their property and their role as hosts. If you have an opportunity to stay here, do not pass it up.
Beautiful spot in rural Florida. Concrete pad with 30amp electric and water in front of a charming log home nestled among the trees. Hosts we're extremely accommodating despite our breakdown and subsequent late arrival.
They are one of the coolest couples ever and an adorable little homestead. We found in them a kindred spirit, so much stuff in common. From his wood working and construction skills to her quilting and stain glass art work...We wish we had more time to absorb more of their endless knowledge. We give them 2 thumbs up for being awesome.
We have a big and heavy rig and were a little concerned about fitting, but the ground was hard and dry. We decided it was best for us to back down their long driveway. Only suggestion if you are a big rig, is to make it there during day light hours. The long row of pine trees along the drive way make it a little darker quicker. Ask us how we know! :)
This is our first trip on our new RV. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and it was dark. Kevin and Sheryl are a beacon of light! So patient while my husband took several times to back up close to the spot where they so graciously offered electric connection. They are amazing, so kind and warm!
We r so blessed that in our first boondocker experience we came here!
Thanks Kevin & Sheryl! We hope to be able to repay your kindness if you are ever in Miami!
Thank you so much for the stop over. Your place is lovely and peaceful. Enjoyed seeing all the hobbies and beautiful home. Please stop and stay with us anytime you are headed west.
Friendly reception upon arrival and privacy there after. Would come again.
What a wonderful couple and lovely location. Only regret is we only stayed one day.
Thank you so very much for hosting.
We were greated by our friendly hosts when we pulled in. It was super easy to back into the spot. We were very appreciative to use the 30amp electric and water. They have a petro right down the road 10 mins that was super convenient for gas and to dump. We really enjoyed talking to Camping Gator. They gave us great suggestions on places to go and things to see and even treated us to smores and a campfire. The location is absolutely beautiful with tall pines and green rolling hills. They were so kind to even clean out an old kids tree house for our kids to play in. We really appreciate them letting us stay🙏 God bless
Thank you to our hosts for your wonderful hospitality! You have a lovely property and I appreciate you allowing me to spend the night there. God bless.
What a fantastic couple + 1 (Hershey the dog was also a great host) We really enjoyed meeting these folks and look forward to next time! Sharing a dinner was an unexpected treat -- and it was really nice to meet another couple with so many things in common. They also gave us some great tips for things to do at our destination. Definitely another great stay with BW folks!
A+ all the way! Everything we could expect and then some. Perfect spot for our camper van. The scenery was beautiful, and so private. We appreciate our host being so kind and hospitable.
Loved their dog, Hershey. Loved waking up to the crow of the rooster. Thank you so much:)
From the moment she confirmed our visit, our hostess went out of her way to help us and make our first BW visit a success. Her location is beautiful, back in the woods with a panoramic view into a wood-ringed meadow. Sitting on the wide back porch and having her friendly dog, amble over for a scratch was a great way to end the day. We can’t thank our host enough for her hospitality and willingness to “loan” us her piece of Heavens Hill.
My Host So Blessed Me!😇...
This was my First Boondocker
Experience & it was Exceptional!🤩...
"Faith Over Fear" was her Neighbor's Sign!
...She was So Hospitable! & Loving & she
Shared her "God Stories" with Me to
Encourage how God can Use Us Each! Her Quilting was Beautiful & she used her
IPAD to Help me Figure Out my next
Destination & Prayed with me at the
End!🙏...I Couldn't Ask for More!
Precious Log Home in Horse Country! 😃
Thanks & Praise God !!!❤Your Guest!
We had a tranquil night's sleep. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. We deeply enjoyed all the conversation and hanging out. What a beautiful house they made. Too bad our time was too short as were were just one night and got back on the road the next morning. Hope to stay again.
Power (30A) and water were good and conveniently located at the corner of the garage. Driveway was perfectly level. The turn-around, to park our 32ft 5th-wheel on the driveway, took some maneuvering and patients.. but we were able to do it safely.
Heaven Hill was exactly that... a little slice of heaven in north central Florida. The property was breathtaking and Mr and Mrs CampingGator were incredible hosts! Thank you for the hospitality and generosity.
We explored some of the nearby attractions that Mrs CampingGator highlighted on a welcome packet she made and we were even able to attend a local rodeo. Way cool.
Couldn’t recommend this experience more. Thank you again.
