We are a small Hobby farm located on the Swan River in Bovey mn. We have several docks/decks on the river and lots of mowed trails. We do have electric and water at the big old dairy barn, if you want to camp down on Matthew's Point, you will need to know how to back your rig, as it is a narrow paved road out there with no turn around and not water or electric.
if you want to camp on the river, you need to know how to back up, the road is very narrow, otherwise you can park in front of the big old barn, Lots of room.
depending on where you want to park your RV there is lots of room.
We stopped there for a quick overnight but couldn’t leave! Their little farm was beautiful and super inviting. Their horses were friendly and our kids were in heaven. They even helped us go fishing at nearby Mathew’s Point. She has a small shop at Mathew’s point that’s really worth your time. We’d love to go back and stay longer!
This was our first guest experience, and it could not have gone better. The surroundings of our stay were perfect! The surprise for us came with a glimpse of an eagle flying by over the water right before we left! If you’re in the area,… don’t miss this one!
The location is beautiful and the hosts are kind and welcoming. Matthew’s point is a must see, we had a great time making memories around the campfire and fishing. Great place for kids, ours didn’t want to leave. We hope to come back again someday, unforgettable place and people. Memories to last a lifetime.
Matthew's Point is an awesome host, super generous and kind. They gave us options where to park. We walked down to the river site and it was very lovely and quiet, but in the end we chose to park by the barn for easier maneuvering. It was a lovely spot, I enjoyed the swing and the porch seating. Would stay again if given the chance!
This a very relaxing place to stay. The hostess was very accommodating.
Matthew’s Point surrounds you with life, color and memories. In the one day we were there, we saw two muskrats swim by with bundles of grass, ducks, humming birds and horses. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks on the deck, and painted river stones to add to the collection. Horses feeding on the lush pasture were simply captivating to watch while relaxing in the evening sun. We will definitely be back next year to spend more time with these hosts again and share our adventures.
What a beautiful, beautiful place to stay! River, flowers galore, fresh veggies, horses and a very talented and thoughtful host. We stayed by the barn for the electricity. We took a walk down Matthew's Point in the morning--if you don't stay down there, be sure to walk to the point as well. It's a lovely space and offers a special opportunity to memorialize a loved one. That was unexpected and very meaningful. We would definitely stay here again!
We stayed at their campsite called Matthew’s Point which was a wonderful private quiet place to stay. Must be comfortable backing up your rig on a single lane road when leaving. The host has a great alternative spot next to their barn with an electric hookup if driving in reverse isn’t your thing. The hosts were very hospitable and their farm has horses and other animals to look at.
If you park at the barn, I suggest you take the walk to Matthews Point. It's serene and beautiful and offers a special way to leave a memory (look on the dock). So much care and love goes into this farm, it's evident anywhere you look. I was welcomed and offered the opportunity to walk the property to take it all in. A quiet and safe place to spend the night!
Another great BW host! Plenty of room, great hospitality. One night stay on way between UP & Voyageurs.
Really enjoyed our stay beautiful spot lovely gardens and great hosts.
Thank you for letting us stay.
Beautiful property and spot. Wish we had more time there but was there for just an overnight spot.
