We are located in the country midway between Midland and Mt. Pleasant. Our 25 acres is a wildlife haven with mowed trails which makes for a nice stroll around the property. Parking is on the front 5 acres of the property and there is plenty of room to park and turn around.
We have a fire ring behind our house and a large porch and patio that our guests can share with us while they stay. We do have water available for filling a tank. If we only have one guest RV, we can offer regular household electric hook up if the rig is parked close enough to the garage.
We ask for courtesy. If you think something might bother someone, please ask first. No generators after 10pm. Clean up the lot before you leave. Keep pets on a leash. If you go for a walk out back your pet can be off leash.
Paved road. 400 Ft. gravel driveway. Parking is in the mowed field area along the driveway.
Next to your rig.
Our area offers several attractions. There are hiking and biking as well as a couple of horse riding trails in the area. Lakes and rivers offer fishing opportunities as well as canoeing and kayaking. For those who love beer, both Midland and Mt. Pleasant have brewery/restaurants. Midland also has a very nice taproom downtown. There are also wine bars and one winery in the area.
Midland is the home of Dow Gardens and the Whiting Forest Canopy Walk as well as the Center For The Arts. there are also art galleries and interesting shops in both Midland and Mt. Pleasant.
Great place to stop! Wildlife in abundance! Hosted by the nicest people we've very met!
Laurie and Bill were super nice. Very warm and welcoming. We had a relaxing evening on their beautiful porch. We had a drink, talked and shared stories. Their property was beautiful and quiet.. just what we needed after a day of driving.. We would go back there again definitely.
We very much appreciated staying with the Shooltz’s! They were friendly and kind and the kids loved running around on the grass. We hope to see them again!
Starry night skies, no street noise, room to roam on a walking, wooded trail...wow, what a spot. But the best part was the welcome we received. We hope you'll come and visit.
