We live on 1 1/3 acres of rural property in the small town of Mohawk, TN. Don't let our location name fool you. Our property is divided by a drainage area and we call everything between the drainage area and the road "The Lower Forty"! At this time we do not have any amenities to offer but you may come and get water if you need it. We don't know if our wifi would work in that area but if you would like to try to use it, please ask us for the sign on information. There is afternoon shade in the back yard, although the RV area is in the sun. We a have a front deck with table and chairs and a back deck that has a screened canopy with seating. You are welcome to use either area. There is also a three seat swing in back yard near fire pit that you may use. We would love to have you join us for some fellowship. We love to share our love for Jesus with anyone who wants to listen and we would love to hear stories that you would like to share. Suggested Local Attractions:Dollywood and all Pigeon Forge attractions are about 1 hour from us. We are about 1 hour from Knoxville and 25-30 minutes from area shopping in Greenville and Morristown. Cherokee Lake and Dam are not far away. Other than that, there is a lot of peace and quiet!

House Rules

Although we have no problem with alcoholic beverages, we do ask that you be considerate and not party. Please no smoking on property during dry season, as we would worry about it being a fire hazard. Please do NOT throw cigarette butts on grass. Pets are welcomed but must be leashed. Please pick up after your animal. Lawn chairs, Canopies, Tents and barbecue grills are okay but all fires must be extinguished immediately after use. Please pick up all trash before you leave. There is a small vinyl enclosed bin near side of house where you are free to put your trash. Generators are fine. Children are fine but please keep them away from road and water drainage area.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We are a country road, 4 miles from route 11E. The road is regular country road until you come to our graveled driveway. Travel on the driveway is not completely flat. The area where the RV will park is a slightly elevated area but basically pretty level. There is a possibility to pull through but it is on our neighbor's property and we would have to get their permission. Moving truck has made the turn from the road to our driveway without any trouble. If you will have to back up to leave parking area, there is only a short distance to back up. The only issue we have with parking is that our ground is clay and in very rainy weather, the ground will soften and make it difficult to maneuver. We suggest that you check with us regarding weather conditions a day or two before you arrive. There are no trees. Area is full sun. Because a visitor felt that the road and driveway may be too narrow to access with a large RV or small with tow, we have included some pictures noting the entrance to the driveway, in hopes that it will help you make a determination ahead of time. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: All parking is on grass. There is a gravel driveway leading to the parking area. Parking should be behind RV.

Bill and Cheryl Fuentes Details: We bought our first travel trailer in 2018. Our intent is to do some traveling around the country as often as possible. We are both in our early 70's and are retired. We are born again Christians, believing in salvation through Jesus Christ. Bill has an auto-harp and we like to sit around a campfire and sing gospel and worship songs. Bill graduated with an MBA from Rensselaer Poly Tech and retired from Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT. Cheryl was a program coordinator with the Community Renewal Team in Hartford, CT. We have three adult children and six grandchildren. We are usually busy Saturday mornings until late afternoon. Home Town: "We live in Mohawk, Tennessee. We are within a little over 1 hour from attractions in Pigeon Forge, about 1 hour from Johnson City and 30 minutes from Greeneville, and Morristown, TN. Knoxville is about 1 hour away. We have a double wide manufactured home on 1 1/3 acres of property on a country road. The front of the property will be used to park guests. There is a small "mom and pop" store abut 1/2 mile down the road and a convenience store with gas about 4 miles away. For grocery shopping, there is a "Food Country" about 15 or 20 minutes from us. Other shopping and restaurants can be found about 30 minutes away. Favorite Boondocking Locations: So far we have only boondocked in two locations. We were planning to do more traveling but health issues and Covid-19 has put a crimp in our plans. We look forward to traveling in 2022, hoping to go to Grand Canyon. Skills or Expertise to Share: Bill is handy with most anything except vehicles. He doesn't like tinkering with engines, etc. He is good at building things. Bill is an ordained minister and occasionally preaches. Both Bill and Cheryl are students of the Bible and enjoy sharing our understanding with others. Cheryl likes to make homemade bread.

Cheryl and Bill were very generous in every way. they invited us in for coffee and cake and we had a lovely chat. we really connected and they were very hospitable. the house is in the back of a large field and it was very quiet. they helped me with directions and in any way they could.

What a perfect setting for a gal and her dogs to catch their breath. Open level grassy area. Not too far from the interstate if you use their directions and not Google! Gracious hosts let me stay an extra night when my other plan fell through which was much appreciated.

Very big, nice, open, mowed lot. Hosts were very hospitable. We shared a nice time on their deck in great conversation and singing.

We stayed here for 2 nights in our truck camper and felt right at home. Good access and friendly host. Cheryl checked on us a couple of times to make sure we were ok and we got some much needed rest after the balloon fest in Dandridge.
