Easy going people that like the simple life. Details: We are both retired and enjoy serving other people, traveling, gardening, and making do with what we have. One of our most rewarding past times is raising/training service dogs to help other people that may have specific challenges in life. We are working on dog #8! We do not always have a dog in training but when we do, we have to follow certain rules for contact with other people and dogs. Home Town: Shell Lake, Wisconsin Favorite Boondocking Locations: The Northwoods including County Forest lands. We are venturing into other states, especially during the winter months. Skills or Expertise to Share: Mike is a general "Mr. Fix-it" and is always up to a challenge. Tracy is a wonderful baker and is the "cement" that holds our family together.

Mike and Tracy are wonderful hosts. Their property is beautiful and peaceful. I was able to get a lot of work done and slept like a baby.

Mike and Tracy made us feel so welcome at their beautiful home. Between chatting with them, playing with their 13-week-old black lab service-dog-in-training, strolling down by their creek, photographing a myriad of birds, or feasting on their home-grown asparagus (DELICIOUS!!!), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It takes a special kind of person to raise service dogs and Mike and Tracy fit the bill. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon and evening!

It was delightful to meet Mike and Tracy, and to enjoy their gorgeous location! The boondock site was next to the hosts’ amazing garden that was very peaceful, and the area around them is scenic in every direction. I was made to feel at home during my stay, and I appreciated being able to learn so much from such kind and knowledgeable hosts who shared with me about all the work they’ve done to make such a beautiful home. I had an outstanding time here!
