We are out in the country and its always quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room to do whatever you want.
Verizon signal is 1 to 2 bars (most days)
ATT signal is 1 to 2 bars (more reliable then Verizon)
Of course some days are worse then others.
Our WIFI is too slow to share....one of the disadvantages of living in the country
Leave it like you found it.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
You can use the trash and recycling cans in front of the garage.
I am retired so will be around most of the time, happy to answer any questions you might have.
The road coming to the house is paved, but very bumpy (about a 1/4 mile long). I recommend going slowly.
The turn into the driveway is easy but you do have to turn sharp.
NOTE: make sure you go LEFT of the garage to get to your spot next to the big building in the back. Do not go between the garage and the house which is our back yard and has a septic field system in it. If this is unclear please call me.
You will then have to drive thru our side yard to get to the back property to park along side the large building in the back. We do it everyday, so no problems. The only time we would not allow this is in the spring when the 1st thaw starts or snow on the ground. There tight corners that large rigs may have difficulty navigating.
If you look at the pictures you can get a real good idea of the few obstacles we have to get to the back of the property.
There is plenty of room for parking. Next to your RV or staying connected.
We don't mind hosting anytime, the exception is a lot of snow or the 1st thaw in the spring.
In winter time it would be important to reach us first.
We do a lot of last minute trips, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you.
Many of our trips have poor cell coverage. I will do my best to respond.
Potato Creek State Park is 5 miles to the entrance. Campground, hiking, paved bike trails, picnic areas, fishing, and paddle boats rentals.
RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum ~35 miles northeast
Lake Michigan is 35 miles ... lots of choices as to beaches and parks.
Notre Dame University offers tours
Blueberry festival annually over Labor Day weekend
The host met us and gave us a choice of spots. It is very remote and quiet there. Very level in the back. Water and electric so please give them a donation. Very accommodating on where we could walk and go in the area. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful place to stop, quiet, and AWESOME hosts. 😊
This was a beautiful property and we had a really pleasant and peaceful time here!
Super awesome host, with great communication. We stayed out by the back building and we’re able to witness a wonderful sunset.
Great spot on a hot day with nice winds. Very friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet setting. Host is awesome. Helped me set up in the dark. I had access to electricity which I really appreciated given the heat and humidity
This is a great spot to stay. Jim was very welcoming and helpful with local suggestions. The property is maintained beautifully. The spot to park is very private with nice view. Close to South Bend. We had loads of options to walk our dogs. We would highly recommend!
Thank you to Jim for being a great host. Your location is well off the beaten path and so worth driving the few extra mile to get there. Jim is a warm friendly host with many stories to tell and willing to listen as well. Although we were only there for 18 hours we really enjoyed the quiet and private location he had for us. The drive is not for the fearful as the last mile or so are an interesting back road and the approach to the best camping spot requires navigating a rather tight location between two buildings - we did it easily in our 36 foot DP. Thank you Jim!
This was perfect for us to stay as a stopover spot. The host was very nice to talk to and his property had plenty of room for our camper and room for dog to explore. We would stay here again
Enjoyed a beautiful night among the farms, courtesy JustJim. Great host. Nice location but a bit out of the way but GPS gets you there
Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. Easy to communicate with. The sunrise was stunning. We would definitely stay again!
Great location! Easy walk to a nice park - within walking distance. Very, very helpful! Above and beyond!! I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again if I'm traveling this way again . Level ground and plenty of turn around room. Thanks for an awesome stay!!
We really appreciated the beautiful and private/quiet place we had to stay when we stopped for an overnight with Jim. We even more appreciated the local insight on our next leg past Chicago. Jim was generous and helpful beyond expectation. Would recommend anybody stay here. Thanks again
We loved sharing stories of travels and life’s adventures with the hosts.
Our host met us in the driveway and helped us get parked. We were only one night, so we picked the easiest place near the water and power outlet. The other choices were appealing.
The hosts were super nice to us and we hope we can meet them again, either in Arizona or again in Indiana.
Incredibly kind, gracious and helpful hosts, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. A much appreciated respite from the road, and time to regroup on a lovely secluded farm. A very sincere thank you to justjim. 😀
JustJim was waiting at the driveway to welcome us and show us to our area.
Access is around some farm buildings and through some trees. It's a little narrow in places, but not too narrow and was clear of any low-hanging branches. Host showed us the way through and we had no trouble.
Area is nice and level. Electric and water hook up available and although we didn't really need it, it was nice to have the power.
Access roads are paved but a little rough in places so make sure all your cupboards are well latched!
We were just passing through on a road trip from MI to GA, so only wanted a place to stop for the night, but it would be a lovely quiet place to relax and unwind too.
We've been hosting for a while but this was our first stay. Thank you for a great stay and positive experience.
Jim was very gracious and generous! A relaxing, quiet, and peaceful place to spend a night. Highly recommended!
Thanks again Jim!
See you again!
the most beautiful part of being on the road is meeting people like these host. We had a wonderful time!! Thank you kindly for the quiet and functional stay!
After a somewhat challenging day on the road, we were so grateful to settle in at this host’s beautiful country property. We were given all the details we needed to “make ourselves at home” and were welcomed by our hosts from afar as they were not at home. We took some nice walks on the quiet roads with our pup and watched the sun set on the surrounding fields. It was a lovely end to the day and a wonderful night’s sleep before pulling out in the morning.
We were greeted as soon as when we got there and were helped with navigation to our spot. She was friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond offering electric and water hook up. She even offered us internet hook up, when she checked on us later that evening! The spot was very quiet and peaceful. If we ever pass through again, we'd love to visit again and spend more time!
Due to their schedules our interaction with our hosts was a little limited. Yet they were very caring about making sure our stay was good. She checked on us a few times to make sure everything was okay. He even took the extra step of measuring the height of a branch before our arrival to ensure we would fit under it. Nice folks and a nice stay.
Jim was away camping, but interrupted his own bike ride to respond promptly to a question as we were hooking up. We enjoyed chatting with Kathy later, too. The location was quiet, clean and spacious and they made trash and recycling reception Les available. It was an easy walk to the state park and enjoyed checking out the trails there. We also enjoyed dinner at the Crooked Ewe Brew House and exploring Notre Dame’s campus on South Bend.
Stopped off here for the night on our way south. Enjoyed a lovely Indiana sunset and good conversation in a peaceful setting. Thanks for your hospitality.
We had an awesome stay. Justjim and Kathy were perfect hosts. Enjoyed visiting and sharing stories before turning in. They decided on a last minute camping trip while we were there and were fine with us staying. We will definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
Justjim was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were great. Quiet at night. Nestled in the corn fields and a true country feel. I would stay here again.
Justjim’s place was so very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Electric and water were offered for a small donation and we happily accepted. Couldn’t get a Verizon signal but that was no biggie. We would gladly come again! Thank you!
Although they were on their own vacation, they allowed us to stay at their place. Water and electric hookups were great. Wifi was weak and so was cell reception for Verizon. Maybe another provider is better. TV roof reception was great.
Thanks to our hosts for trusting us and allowing for us to stay at your property.
