Big parking area in our side yard. The “landing pad” is really a large and wide driveway for getting our big RV into its storage shed. It is much larger then the picture make it appear. We are located in north Biloxi and are located just off Interstate-10 in a country/residential area. There are Walmart’s, Targets, grocery stores, restaurants, and more about 10 minutes away in case you need to restock. There are two restaurants within walking distance. We have 30 amp service for one unit. Want to stay more nights? Usually no problem...we can discuss, especially during Crusin' the Coast. I am willing to host two units if you are traveling together. One of the group make a guest request and let me know.
As a courtesy, after you get on the road the day of your arrival, please provide an estimate of your time of arrival (ETA--again, it is just an estimate). It helps me plan my day. Then, when you get about 10 minutes out, please give me a CALL on the number you get in the text I will send you. I will try to meet you at the driveway to help guide you in. Many guest tell me it helps after a long day of driving!
1) Please clean up after your pets. No aggressive Pets. We have a large side yard we’re they can run loose; however, the yard is not fenced. You know your pet. You decide if it is ok to let them off leash. Be aware my wife and son are a little apprehensive around big dogs so they may standoffish. On the other hand, my daughter is an animal fanatic and I hope your pets don't get to much loving from her!
2) If you need to dump, we have an access that is away from the parking pad. Let us know ahead of arriving so we can get cars out of the way. We might even be able to park you over there. Please do not use without asking so that we can make sure you use the correct access.
3) Please stay on the north side (road side) of our privacy fence. Warning, we have a pool in the back yard that could be hazardous to children and adults. We also have a tree line along the edge of the property that is fun to play in, but following the last hurricane has many broken or leaning trees.
4). Have fun! However, let’s keep the neighbors happy by keeping the music low and not having wild parties. Let’s keep the city happy by not doing MAJOR maintenance on your RV, washing, etc. I understand breakdowns. If you need to do emergency repairs just let me know and we will work something out.
5). If you need to unhook from your trailer/5th wheel please let us know so well not think you abandoned your rig and want us to sell to the highest bidder. 😂 This is a great area and I recommend you get out and take advantage of the location. Heck, I came for a year and have been here 12!
6) We certainly don't mind you using our water. If you fill your water tanks or use large amounts of water, please kick in a little extra to help with costs. Our sewer rates are based on water usage and our rates have increased dramatically in last two years. Under threat of massive fine, the city shut down all septic systems, bought out our community water well, and forced us all on to their expensive water/sewer system. Isn’t that called extortion?
7) Being on our property is at your own risk. By coming on our property you agree to release us from any and all liability for both known and unknown hazards. You agree that coming onto our property is entirely at your risk.
All classes of Trailers and Motorhomes can easily pull right off the road on to our “RV landing pad” without unhooking your toad/ trailer before you arrive. Yep, cut through the hard packed area just off the road and onto the pad. Turn directly from the road onto gravel pad as if you are going to drive straight into our RV shed. That is how we do it. Once on the pad we then unhook our toad. Our Class A is 40’ and toad adds a little over 20’ and there is plenty of room. Hard to explain, but easy to do. Just cut between the two trees located just to the west of the cement driveways and onto the gravel pad (which also connects with the driveway). Once the toad is unhooked, back up as necessary, turn left onto the driveway and do a three point turn so you are back to back with our RV/Shed. When departing, very long rigs may need to pull their RV forward towards the road, then re-hook the toad. Again, that is what we do.
NOTE for "Monster" 5th wheels and "Monster" trailers:
We have a NEW parking approach that our trailer guests seem to like: I recommend coming in the first (east) driveway and just making a half circle on the driveway to the gravel pad such that you are actually on the gravel facing out towards the road and then just have to back up. The biggest of rigs may pull momentarily nose first onto the road to straighten, but then can back straight up to our RV shed. If you miss that first driveway you can still just pull in the gravel pad and do a three point turn as described above. Plenty of room either way. Also, don't worry if you end up putting your wheels on the grass/dirt between the two cement drives when you come in the east driveway (or if you do a 3 point turn as described above). Get the best angle so you can park behind my RV. Back up right to the shed/ RV as that area is pretty level.
As our pictures show, the main parking is hard packed gravel and as explained above, The “RV landing pad” is to the west of the U-shaped cement driveway (the pad may not show on Google). Toad parking is on the gravel next too/in front of your rig.
Plenty of off street parking on hard surface near/next to the camper. Toad parking is on the gravel next to/in front of your rig. Lots of room for towing vehicle. toads, trailers, and tow dolly.
We try to use our motorhome one weekend a month. We’ll try to accommodate you on those weekends if at all possible. Also, we are no longer hosting more than1 guest per night. It just became too much for us to manage. That said, if you are traveling with another RV, one of you make a reservation and let me know. I will then open up a second reservation for two units and accept.
We are about 15-20 minutes north (6 miles as the crow flies) from the Biloxi beaches and casinos. Ocean Springs is a quaint town with a nice downtown area and many restaurants. Beach Boardwalk in both Biloxi and Ocean Springs is great for walks, bike rides, or to watch the sun set. Wide verity of beach front restaurants in Biloxi. Biloxi dog park is also nearby. Also, there is a large VA medical center in Biloxi. Biloxi is home to the huge “Cruisn’ the Coast” car show and the famous Shed barbecue is a short drive down I-10. We also have the large “Peter Anderson Festival” each year. Bay St. Louis is a fun drive down Beach Blvd (Hwy 90) about 25 minutes away.
We have truly enjoyed our stay, from the day we got here through 1 extra day! Bruce and his family were very warm and welcoming we felt like family. We highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area as there is so much to see and do and Bruce has some great recommendations for fun day trips as well as alot of brochures to review. We look forward to meeting up with them again.😊👍
They made room and gave us power for our 42’ Class A with towed. Would very much recommend
The host directed us where to park in the driveway. He also had brochures, maps and addresses of attractions in the area. Masks and hand sanitizer were also provided if needed. We were able to hook to power, water and a dump station upon leaving. Had a very pleasant stay. We would recommend to all Boondockers traveling in the area. Thank you to the hosts, Joe and Sally
Our stay was great! We stayed 3 extra days to house sit over the holidays. It was a win win for both of us.
Before they left for Christmas, the kids made us some wonderful cookies and a Christmas card. We were treated like family. We met their cat and one of the pet geckos. They liked our animals, especially Bentley, our Swiss Sheppard. Bruce helped with some issues we had with our RV. He provided a typed sheet with local restaurants and a box of fliers of places to go and things to do in the area. We also got the recipe for the cookies they gave us.
We had 30 AMP electrical, water. dump station and WIFI. There is plenty of room to get a big rig into the parking area.
We highly recommend that others stay here and we look forward to a return visit.
They were extremely helpful and provided great information of things to do while we are here! Will definitely stay here again
We needed a place to stay for the night, and this place fit the bill perfectly. There’s a large driveway and gravel area to get in and out, which was perfect for our 40+ft. rig. The hosts were super friendly and we enjoyed some good conversations. Convenient location, highly recommend!
Thank you for being a member of Boondockers Welcome! What an awesome place to host other travelers! I enjoyed our conversation about the area and with camping experiences. It was nice to meet you and your dog loving daughter. When I come through the area again, I will stop and stay again!
Have a magical day!
We really enjoyed staying here and wish we could have stayed longer for the events happening over the weekend. Very knowledgeable about RVs and enjoyed chatting. Our children enjoyed the time with their daughter and her gecko's as well.
This was a wonderful stay! He gave us a great recommendations for a location to ride our bikes, which was right on the beach and lovely. He also suggested a local park with Christmas lights that was free. We ended up staying 2 days so we could go out and see stuff. The property was a great size to pull into and back up. It was very simple to get in and out of. We will definitely be back!
The host gave us a great level site with power and water. This host is very knowledgeable about the area and told us about many things to see and do. Great restaurants and sight seeing in the immediate area. Thanks you B for your generosity and hospitality.
Nice level parking with 30 amp electric and even provided wifi. Enjoyed visiting with the host. Our pups really enjoyed the nice big yard to run and play off leash. Highly recommend and would certainly stay again if in the area.
Very easy to get to from the interstate! Bruce was very welcoming & even stood out in the rain with a flashlight so we could see where to turn in to his driveway. That was so very much appreciated!!
Next morning we chatted and he imparted a lot of RV’ing knowledge as my wife and I are “newbies” to the RV life. Overall a great experience-thanks to Bruce & his family for making us very welcome.
This location was a great stop with easy maneuvering and electricity. The directions and landmarks to get here were perfect. We walked on the shoreline, about 15 minutes away. and next time hope to go to the Bayou Trail.
The hosts gave us permission to stay, even though they were off on a fun trip of their own. Hopefully, next time, we will be able to meet. The communication was quick and thorough. Thank you so much!
We JUST loved our stay. We here only 1 night but wanted to see the ocean and eat a little something different than before.
45ft tow hauler was able to pull in and park in a breeze. The spot he had us park in was nice and level!
The hosts were phenomenal. We didn't wanna leave simply because of them! The area has so much to see and do. We couldn't squeeze it all in!
Definitely plan to visit again so we can chat with what feels like "old friends" gathering to catch up.
So convenient to Biloxi and the beaches. Great parking spot, with hookups if needed (we boondocked). Friendly family and great recommendations. We will definitely return!
We are so grateful that Just_off_I-10 accepted our very last minute request to stay despite their not being home. The location was easy to find and the spot easy to pull into. Just_off_I-10 stayed in communication making sure we made it in and that we got set up without problems.
Definitely recommend staying here and would stay again. Hopefully we meet out hosts our next time through the area!
Very easy. Perfect stop. Great pers. We just crossed. But it was just fine
Nice place for a couple nights rest, Bruce was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. We chatted quite a bit and we enjoyed our stay very much here. Bruce and his family are just some really nice awesome people and we had a good spot with power and water. We thank you very much Bruce for the wonderful company and a great little spot to rest for a couple of days
We truly enjoyed the short stay. We would highly recommend JOI0. We hope to meet up with you again. Thanks for your hospitality.
Bruce was very friendly, quiet place at a beautiful home! Awesome location off
I-10! Will stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The spot was great with thick gravel and 30 amp and drain spot. Well lit area and huge grass yard for kids and dogs to play. Easy to get in and out of. Right off freeway. Hosts were amazing. They were so friendly and welcoming and so fun chatting with. We learned so many great RV tips from them and they are very knowledgeable about the area and neighboring areas and told us great places to eat, what beaches to go to and what to see, ect. I highly recommend staying here. Such a great experience.
This was our first BW stay, and the bar is high for future visits! Our host met us at the road to guide us in and worked very positively us throughout the 4 days we stayed. It's a long, pretty level pull-in access with plenty of room to unhook toad, turn around ... whatever you need. Easy access to 30-amp power, water, and a dump station as you need then. Close access to shopping, food, etc. The hosts have been RVing forever, so we had some wonderful conversations about tips & tricks, places to stay, pretty much anything. We'd definitely recommend them to others and stay again ourselves.
This was our first experience at a Boondocking spot. We were treated with great respect and we were welcomed well beyond exceptional!!! We highly recommend this family as they were helpful in many ways and we enjoyed our time with them. They treat you like family!! We would most definitely come back here without a doubt! Thank you for all that you have done for us and with us!
