We share 6 acres with 3 goats and 4 cats. I have an art studio in my basement for anyone who may be crafty and have the need to create with your hands. The maquoketa River is just across the neighbor’s property. The city walking trail goes right in front of our home. Our town has an awesome whitewater park with fun for all ages, just a few blocks away. We have a large covered deck on our home, you are welcome to sit and watch people walk, run, bike the trail or just relax. If I’m available, I’ll gladly take you to the grocery store if you need supplies.
We are pretty relaxed. The only thing we ask, please don’t leave your trash on our property ( unless you put it in the trash can)
We live right in town. Paved streets, paved driveway, but the RV spot is gravel, next to our driveway.
We have plenty of room for parking an RV and a separate tow vehicle in our driveway. The area closest to the electrical hook up is gravel.
Whitewater park within 5 blocks, walking trail access right out front of the house, large ( not fenced) mowed field to play with a trained dog off leash. Grocery store within 4 blocks. 2 local golf courses, many local bars, restaurants and a local brewery.
It was so nice to connect with them! I used her studio to paint and sew and she was so open and willing to help in any way she could. He is a man of few words but is very kind. They opened their home and hearts to us and we won't soon forget our time spent with them. It was so nice and we look forward to staying with them again in the future!
This couple reaches out with outstanding hospitality and a different set of pets, especially the trio in the corral. They are indeed OK! Since we were the first RV to stay with them after their joining Boondockers Welcome, there were some minor problems that did not go according to plan, but in the end, we ended up with a scenic view of the ranch. And the ability to park in the shade was well received as the temperatures soared during the day. We certainly want to see them do well with Boondockers.
