Stayed two nights. Host was very accommodating. Close to KC. Was able to sight see and catch a baseball game.
I had to cut my stay by 2 days, but it was so nice to have a spot the one night. Thanks Jay!
My wife and I needed a place to drop our trailer for a short visit with our daughter in this area. Our host was more than accommodating.
Location was great for us driving into KC for work! Host was amazing! Kind, friendly, and had some awesome conversations! Great memories created and new friend a made! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!
We had a great time. We were close enough to the city but in the quiet rural area.
Jay's location is convenient, with easy freeway access, yet in a country setting. We spent a day exploring Olathe and Kansas City. Also, we checked out Hillsdale Lake down the road from Jay’s place. It’s all a beautiful area. Because it was raining, we opted to park in the driveway in front of Jay’s garage on more solid ground as there was already another boondocker next to the garage. We did hook-up to his electricity and water. There are stores conveniently located on the other side of the overpass from Jay’s Place.
Very accommodating host! Met us as we arrived and helped us determine the best set up.
We stayed at Jay’s as I had a race in Olathe. Jay was flexible and let us add a night at the last moment. His location is convenient, with easy freeway access, yet in a country setting. We found this to be a great place to stay. Big yard and quite.
Our host was kind and generously accommodated last minute changes in our travel plans. He was available to welcome us to his place and chat for a bit. I even teased him about a couple of things, even though I’m not usually the funny one, and he had a good sense of humor. There are some great, peaceful places to park on the back side of the property when the ground is firm. I would have loved to stay back there if our plans had not changed. And he plans to add some extras to make his space more easily accessible and so even better for future Boondockers.
Host went out of his way to accommodate two different guests. Nice property too.
The host is super friendly and flexible. Our arrival date and time kept changing and he was totally cool with it. Location has great parking for shade and lots of room for pets to get a little exercise.
Side note: there is a dog a few hundred feet away (neighbor's yard) that barked nearly all night. I am a light sleeper, so I noticed it and it kept awake some. My other family members are normal sleepers and did not even notice.
All in all, very positive experience. Will ask to stay again whenever we come through the area again.
You made our stay very pleasant. Enjoyed watching hundreds of Robins forage in you fields. The electric (20amp?) worked to keep us powered and watch TV.
I appreciate your sharing your love of real Competition BBQ and dang proud of your accomplishment of 3rd Place Brisket Overall at the American Royal Open against 500 teams. Thanks for guiding us in off the main road backwards in our 40' Montana 5er. Glad we got there during the 2-3:30pm time frame as you wisely advised. Will stay here again!!
Helpful. They were very hospitable. Roomy area and private. Abundant colorful birds out our windows in yard. We recommend this location.

Jay was a great host. Easy to communicate with. Nice place to stay with power and water. Just stay on dry land. The field is very soft and a heavy rig may get stuck. Thanks Jay for a great stay!
We are so thankful he allowed us to come earlier than planned due to the unexpected heat. We do not have a generator and decided to move faster to our final destination where we would have power for our A/C. Jay's place was a welcome oasis!
Jayhawk was most gracious in helping to locate us where we could be in ample shade as much as possible. We did not even need to disconnect (our 5th-wheel) as we were level where we parked! We got a good night's sleep and were able to head down the road.
Our host was quick to service when we needed reference or details. He assisted us on Internet and parking. As a beginner Jayhawk is doing a good job, but he has a few kinks that he is working out. He is going to be a great host. He was a great host hosting us! We would return in the future.
