Ron and his wife Elaine were most lovely and welcoming. This was my first ever Boondockers welcome stay and it couldnt have been better!!! They offered advice on places to stay and marked up a map with popular places to see along the route of my trip. Ron even cut some wood to make me levels for my van! Great location, even better hosts. Beautiful, secluded, quiet, and safe! Would absolutely stay again!

We stayed for two nights in this idyllic spot on a hill above the village of Val David. Ron had been concerned about his steep gravel driveway but I switched on the AWD, put the Sorento in first gear, and rolled up the hill like nobody's business. Our level, dry spot was clearly marked with a 'B' for boondocker and it was a quick setup. We connected to the 15 amp extension cord and our various batteries were grateful. This is a lush location, surrounded by forest, with a lovely view from the balcony overlooking the valley below and, as per Ron's invitation we enjoyed our coffee up there. Our hosts weren't around til our last day and we wish we could have spent more time with them. Ron has lived in Val David forever and has been the president of the local outdoors club for about as long. He knows everything about the area and is very happy to share. To sum up, great, fantastic bike routes and wonderful restaurants in a charming, peaceful and walkable little village. We had a great visit to Val David and hope we'll be back.

Merci Ron.
