Welcome to our historic home in a little farming town on the Connecticut shoreline. We have lived in our home that was built in 1782 for almost 4 years. We welcome you with your small camper to stay the night or two! We have a large fire pit for your use at night and an inground swimming pool for you to enjoy. We do not have a separate grill or fire ring for your parking spot, but you are free to use our charcoal weber or Weber gas grill. Whether you are passing through, or here to see the local sites, we look forward to meeting you!
Due to the fact that we have three dogs, we ask that only campers with one small dog join us at our home. We do have a fenced in side yard for you to use when our dogs are in the house. When you walk your dog please pick up after then and remove from the property.
Our home sits on 3 acres with the main house a rental cottage and a workshop/ garage. You will park next to the workshop that overlooks our vegetable garden and rolling backyard. We do live on a main road, that does have regular traffic. But if you have your AC going you shouldn’t be able to hear anything. We hope to see you all here soon and learning all about your travels.
Only one small dog as we have 3 ourself. No smoking. No generators running at night. . No personal grill, you can use ours.
Please ask when the pool will be available for your personal use upon your arrival.
Fire pit available in the evenings.
We do not have a dumping area or trash area. Please remove what you bring in.
Outdoor quiet time at your camper starts at 10pm ends 8am. Please be respectful of our quiet hours as we have a renter in the cottage and her bedroom faces the parking area.
Will need to back into our parking lot through a wood fence opening. 8’ wide max. For the trailer.
Easy access right off of the main road.
Attached to your trailer, or if a camper van, then 1 spot.
Hammonasset State Park beach, Old Saybrook, Essex Steam Train, Gillette Castle State Park. Connecticut River, Long Island Sound are all within 10-20 mins drive. There are too many attractions to list them all! Very fun spot. And if your looking for lobster, then head to lobster landing #1 rated in New England and only 10 mins down the road right on Clinton Harbor.
