Welcome to our historic home in a little farming town on the Connecticut shoreline. We have lived in our home that was built in 1782 for almost 4 years. We welcome you with your small camper to stay the night or two! We have a large fire pit for your use at night and an inground swimming pool for you to enjoy. We do not have a separate grill or fire ring for your parking spot, but you are free to use our charcoal weber grill. Whether you are passing through, or here to see the local sites, we look forward to meeting you!
Due to the fact that we have three dogs, that are very friendly, one of them does not get along with other dogs. So I am sorry to say that we cannot host anyone with a pet at this time.
Our home sits on 3 acres with the main house a rental cottage and a three car garage. You will park behind the garage that overlooks our vegetable garden and rolling backyard. We do live on a main road, that does have regular traffic. But if you have your AC going you shouldn’t be able to hear anything. We hope to see you all here soon and learning all about your travels.
No pets please as we have 3 dogs. No smoking or generators. No personal grill, you can use ours.
Please ask when the pool will be available for your personal use upon your arrival.
Fire pit available in the evenings.
We do not have a dumping area or trash area. Please remove what you bring in.
Outdoor quiet time at your camper starts at 10pm ends 8am.
Will need to back into our parking lot through a wood fence opening. 8’ wide max. For the trailer.
Easy access right off of the main road.
Attached to your trailer, or if a camper van, then 1 spot.
Due to traveling we can not offer accommodation until mid August 2020.
Hammonasset State Park beach, Old Saybrook, Essex Steam Train, Gillette Castle State Park. Connecticut River, Long Island Sound are all within 10-20 mins drive. There are too many attractions to list them all! Very fun spot. And if your looking for lobster, then head to lobster landing #1 rated in New England and only 10 mins down the road right on Clinton Harbor.
